Hey everyone B-) !
I've been looking at everyones awesome Airshow shots and I've decided to upload a few of my own from this year. (All were taken on my Dads Cannon EOS 400D Digital Camera by myself).

OHAKEA OPEN DAY
Red Checkers.

My fav two warbirds from home.

Dump and Burn!

WARBIRDS OVER WANAKA
Start of the show!

Trojan beating down.

Gene flying the Camel.

Prop vapour on the Thunder Mustang.

Corsair Flyby

The reverse of a dump and burn.

'Nuff Said!

Dakota take-off.

Catalina (Lucky enough to get a ride and a touch-and-go on the lake after the show).

Mustangs!

Corsair with Kittyhawk peeling off.

And thats about it...

Cool shots.

the 'Nuff said one is my favourite. Planes>Racecars every single time B-) (the Air NZ 777 versus racecar a while ago also proves this).

Cheers

That don't call you ACE for nothing, your photographs are stunning! Those are the sort of results I only dream I could achieve with my old camera.

Thanks for posting- don't hold out on us again if you have any more snaps you want to share ;)

Great Shots Ace!! Love the fletcher shot!

May I ask, on the second last mustang shot, you have a bit of a Light Flash. Ive seen this done a fair bit, especially on night shots. To do this, do you just need to have a slightly slower Shutter speed, or somthing different?

I won't pretend to know my way around cameras.

But yes I was using a slower shutter speed at the time and thats what came out. :D

And thanks for your comments guys!

Heres an old vid of Gene flying the Corsair at Hood one evening (Not too great quality - but as you can imagine a little handheld doesnt focus too good on such a stealthy aircraft when it gets dark):
