Here are a couple of photos taken as these aircraft were on there way to Wanaka.
The third shot was taken from the ramp of the C-130 and will give you some idea as to what some of us got up to.
Special thanks to the RNZAF and Ian Brodie for organizing that flight.
It was a life time highlight for me as well as others on board.

Also flew with the Thunder Mustang (Thanks Simon) and also with Ryan on a rather unique formation flight so it was a good forum catch up with some of the guys and photos will follow in due course.
Havent started sorting photos yet as there are heaps of them but more air 2 airs will follow soon.

Great airshow by the way. 8-)
Highlights for me WW1 as usual, Jurgis snap rolling an I-16, P40 firing its guns, and meeting up with good friends just to name a few.

Yeah  , and there is some gun flash :o , I seen live firing of 1 .5 browning , tracer round , off course no way having live rounds in the 40  very risky with so many NZFF members around the airshow grounds  but true

WOW DVDis now available, Gavin would've seen much of this action from the C130 ramp.

That is indeed a great into and having been on the ramp of the Herc they will have some great footage so purchasing this one is a must and will posts a couple of photos from that flight soon.
The Red Checkers provided an awesome view.

Just out of interest, in the CT-4 formation shot, is that an airstrip just to the lower left of the second CT-4 from the left? I noticed it in a couple of your photos - looks a bit like a runway?

Got the latest issue of Classic Wings yesterday - my congratulations on a truly superb cover shot. I'd be immensely proud of that, great work! *applauds and hands over a Tui* Gotta say your pics inside were great too, love the one of Currawong going in guns blazing!

I love the P-40 peeling away, awesome!

That is an airstrip in the photo.
It is used as an emergency strip during the show.
Yip I am a big fan of the Yak 50 but you cant beat the grin on The Kittyhawks mouth.
The Corsair ooked awesome up close as well.
