Another massive undertaking...
Some issues with default roads+traffic (#2) and water (#5).
Ian does it convince, in the sim?
Great to see these, keep 'em coming, love to see Seed Knee.

Its amazing to have so much to explore for so little , does it convince, in the sim? yes , i figured , i no the roads in and out off Avalon .. and have seen photo stills on approach , only thing left to do is to have a scenery model maker to place photo real buildings .

Some issues with default roads+traffic (#2) and water (#5). Guess the size of this scenery completed , it all comes together well , this could be fixed again with a nice model to complement the area .

Seed Knee hecks! give me a lesson , never heard of the place :o , more than happy to add to the screen shot list .

Good shots Mike.
This is beginning to look as good as a well-sorted FS9 installation! :pics:
Sooner or later someone is going to come up with some water variations, then it'll be all systems GO.

Truth be told this is far from my well sorted install of fs9, and i mean that in a bad way for fs9 ,this install of fsx is the best sim install ive ever had running ,i was getting 37flps over this .
i do have aerofiles texture booster pack installed ,and this is just one of many water texture sets ive seen for fsx ,your also can get Cielosim flight enhancer that is suppose to have combos you can put in and change at will ,
the only thing i use fs9 for is its stable sdk and install aircraft before i dump them in fsx ,
all the addons from the past have worked with alittle tweaking so there was no point hanging out any longer for me ,there are some that ive had to buy but all worth it
SP2 has done fsx alot of good and i hope more move on so i have more people / addons to fly with and check out ..

Creator2003. Thats it! I've just ordered FSX Deluxe. You had better be right!

I plan on getting this addon, plus Flight Environment X (looks fab!), and ActiveSky X (v6.5 has been a faithful friend). I may consider Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Environment X nHanced USA for comparison (and I'll deffo be getting their Europe combo on release). Then I need to get FSX versions of my payware aircraft.

Arg, this will be expensive!

Wellcome to SEED KNEE :D ..... or

Kakpling , yikes! ... Major frame hitter :( in this area

scary part , i'm looking forward to the airport

these screenies have already been adjusted to try and keep 10 fps

8.5 .... maybe delete the traffic

obviously the busy time

heading into Bankstown , things appear to get a little better ,

I wonder if there is a doubleup , early VOZ scenery getting in the way :ph43r:

With SP2 there's no way your rig should be dying with that scenery.
Did turning off road traffic improve things much?
I find it distracting in FSX most times.
"Real vs Sim" type scenario, here's pretty much stock FS9 untouched S/S by way of comparison:

I'll remove these once you've fixed the performance issue, don't want to intrude on your thread.
Point I make is there's actualy less scenery in ORBX than vanilla FS9.
Even allowing for higher res you should not have such a fps hit.
Hope you get sorted.
Does this scenery go as far as Perth, can't recall?

Using all REALNZ scenery , the sliders are Maxed , on first install in ORBX starting from Albury required adjusting
TRAFFIC .. now thats as important as the AIRPORTS
Yes Indeed Perth is in there .

I really hate night shots , for these you really need a super and well detailed city center , to complement Mikes Screen Shots , added these some at twilight

the frame rates have increased , but with deleting car traffic around the airport ... reducing it to 10%

AT LEAST WITH A TWLIGHT ......... IT LOOKS INVITING

Oh no!
The man's a walking SHIP encyclopaedia as well! :o
The photo is fairly significant - this was the QE2's last visit here.
And she met another Cunard Queen - Victoria, who was tied up at Circular Quay.
('orrible Kruise Liner type ship - thank heavens for the Q Mary 2)
The two had a historic meeting in the harbour, and most of Sydney turned out for the event...

Back on topic: I agree night screen shots are generally a waste of time in FS.
Like rainbows and sunsets, they are best enjoyed at source.

SO...who's off to Perth, then?

Ugh... those first couple of shots of the Sydney CBD are truly hideous... :poo:

Roads not aligned with photoreal etc... and as for the model of the harbour bridge... well, the less said about that the better i think...
