OMG! I have been waiting for a new CV-580 for years!

When will it be released? Please don't tell me it's FSX only...

There's a good one on FSField Trolly. The model almost looks better than this one- around the nose/cockpit/engines etc
Nice shots Ian, but I wonder why it's got a Dash 8 panel?

Sure it will work in FS9 ... only requires swappin textures , old Greg Pepper model given a truely sprightly preformance :)

...and feels like YEARS ago that Ian sent me textures for my Greg Pepper repaint which never went anywhere!

Maybe this will be the inspiration I need, if Adrian's is FSX-only B-)

It a GREG PEPPERS model and still stands the test of time .. 2002 to FSX ;) Its a Beaut! with the modified AdrianB aeroplane touch , looks the part .. not bad for hulls built in 1958-1962 respective

The Cal Classic models are well done, I have some of the GMax source files that I am trying to beautify (by agreement with Cal Classic) there is alot that needs changing particularly around the cockpit window areas and the roof. They have also asked me to do a RR Dart powered CV600 which is on my to do list though way down the bottom.

What about a decent F27?
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Very nice screenshots Ian, not exactly a Connie, but interesting, especially the first one of the freighter. Would not mind this one, divid up time with the real aircraft.

Looks nice, I'll have to recreate the RO-MC flight that the Tauck plane does regularly sometime. :)

The panel is a dash 8 panel,..is just being used to be able to fly the 580 in fsx due to a lack of fsx turboprop panels ,..this is nothing like the convair real panel I know,..but it works in FSX which many useing fsx will understand is hard to come by. I am no panel designer, and have little or no knowledge in this area ! . The repaints are simply repaints of greg peppers gmax cv-580,..the only 580 to my knowledge that works in fsx,...I have yet to ask permission of Greg to upload them to either avsim/flightsim or both. Ian has been kind enough to share some screenies(nice ones at that !),..to let the good folks at NZFF know that some kiwi repaints of Gregs Convair will soon be available hopefully pending permission to share them. I still have some minor tweeking of the tail textures on some of them but they should be ready for upload really soon...,the repaints will be The Air Chathams,..green and red schemes,..Air Freight NZ in the red & blue and white schemes,Pionair Adventures scheme,...and the ERA Aviation scheme,..not indigenous but visitor to NZ,..Ian would have more info on that than me !. I have no idea what panel will be accompanying the repaints at this stage. I am not a skilled repainter so there are bound to be somethings out of line or out of place,..but all of the repaints fuselage textures are 100% from real photos so they look alright :-)
On another note I am seriously looking forward to the ATP and the merlin Dan ,....I fly your amazing Saab 2000 all the time in FSX and it is absolutely awesome !. No plans for a rebuild of the CV-580 with your co-alittion with Cal-classic somewhere down the line ?

Sweet, look forward to downloading and flying these. Since when did you need the original aircraft model's author to upload repaints of the model though?

I agree its not always the case Trolly,...Greg Pepper may not require permission for 3rd party repaints ,... but common courtesy doesnt hurt, just ask any flightsim modeller and I can pretty much gaurantee they will say the same..
