We all have our fav FS aircraft , and we all have the best , Spit's ,51's , mmm Harvard,s , ......... Others the fast movers F105s ....... to Daks , ......to my absolute fav the Connie or is it ! from the same stable , the Herc , the Lockheed Constellation , C-121 and its many versions . I met my first Connie in the late 60's , reasons unknown I spent large time researching , but had to give up since these are , only 3 flying in the world . The Lockheed Constellation was used to fly personal and supplies during the summer season from Christchurch to Antarctic but soon to be replaced by the amazing Hercules .
........................
SOUTH AFRICA,s SAFAIR one happened to be on the ramp at Harewood , the standard short doing engine runs , many countries stop and use this area before heading South .
........................
Now this model would be interesting , the 6 blade'd 'J' extra length 30 series
........................
It is so versatile , the speed , load and manvourablity , constant updates
........................
To this wicked Bugger that could practically draw your country, s coast line if required , ALL THESE RETURN - FULL CIRCLE back to the Christchurch to Antarctic which we see every season
........................
North Wester's - rwy 29/11 ... heck a warm night , the thunder , lit up , today by the USAF New York AGN unit since Navy pass over in 1999 :(

Ahh she's a beaut Ian.
Well, actually, the aircraft if it could talk would probably not appreciate that thought.
Tough mutha, perhaps. Workhorse, that kind of thing.
X model looks very good nonetheless
SO...have you tried a quick spin down to the Southern ice ?
Be a good "Real vs Sim" opportunity after Wanaka this year eh?
