In the mailbox today, and very nice it is too.
Ian's already done the intro shots somewhere, so just a couple more to taste:

GREAT local texturing, and monumental autogen.

These are vanilla FSX, and you'll agree they look pretty good.
Timely update Robin, good to have the Beehive included.
Tomorrow I'll have a go at FS9 to compare.

WAIT A MINUTE...
Wasn't there going to be an FS9 NZPP at some point??

Got my CD in the post today, and have already installed it. RealNZ Wellington was fantastic, the new FSX version is fantastic+++. Well worth the money and a great add-on. Thanks to Robin for another great product. Something that everybody should treat themselves to.

Righto as threatened, the FS9 run up the Kapiti:

Discovered I have been running a beta copy of RealNZ Wellington all this time.
Robin, please disregard all those questions these past months :o
Cake Tin floor still flashes (as it does in X, an NVidia issue?) and no Beehive...
Ah well FS9 has this excellent ferryboat AI package to make up.
AND, look at the lower shot above: this is the FS9 blend line between photoreal and textured area (where the water stops) BIG

Hi-res FSX textures are better, true, but looking up and down at say the NZPP coastal approach, I find them...Plasticky.
Plasticky - that's what it is about FSX.
Plasticky. Even the aircraft look shrink-wrapped.

No airport at NZPP :( have to make up for it with lots of AI instead.
