Dean, great aircaft! - thanks very much.

This could be related only to FS2004, in which you might not be able to help but is it possible to disable the gear action?

when I hit the gear key (out of habit maybe ?), the gear retracts programatically. Visually everything is fine of course, but landing is quite fun as the landing gear buries itself in the tarmac and there are sparks everywhere....I guess I should apply the same habit and extend the invisible gear on final....

Cheers - Ran

Good find - the very reason you need BETA testers. I get the same problem with FSX !!
I have not added any entry to specify retractable gear, but obviously a hidden entry in the aircraft.cfg file or the .air file must be causing this. I'll dig around and see what I can find.

- I have not included the todressing eefect, so you won't see a super trail unless you have my Earlier (400HP) Fletcher installed

About this "super trail" thing, do you have to install this one? Does it work in FS2004?

Thanks, and looking great! (the A/C that is :) )

Scroll down the filefactory page and click on the big green button called "begin download"

Yes that aircraft has the effect. Neither of my aircraft are FS2004 compatible as some gauges don't work, everything else is fine. I will not support or design for FS2004 as I use FSX and FS2004 won't run on my PC anymore.

It will only work for the Airspeed indicator - all the rest of the gauges are for a piston engined aircraft. This model is turboprop. Refer my earlier message as to how FS2004 users can modify the panel.cfg file to substitute in new gauges. I'm sure somebody can make some new panel.cfg entries and paste the text into a new reply.

Deane probably can't answer this as stated before he can't test it in FS2004, but do any others flying/testing it in FS2004 have the Prop disc disappear completely after start up when up to running speed??

EDIT:Sorry have seen it now, its very faint - supposed to be that way?

Apart from that great model, have subbed in some gauges from kingair, cessna's as suggested and is functional, although subbed torque ,rpm ,ITT, oil gauges don't register any movement.

Cheers Deane :thumbup:

Well done indeed Dean, great model.
I only have FS9 and have had a quick flight and have a couple of photo flights to go and do this morning but looking forward to some more fun with it when I get home.
Saw one of the owners last night and he is keen to see how it looks as well.
A few shots I have taken of if in the past few months.

Thanks Gavin

I love your pictures - its great to see that you feature so many of the 'normal' aircraft and not just the perceived glamorous types.
Obviously the cockpit of the model won't match the real EML as every Fletcher is different and I could not afford the time to model them all separately.
If I was to start this project again I would have approached the owner to see if I could photograph the cockpit. I took some reference shots from Classic Fighters last year when EML was parked on display, but I don't go out to Omaka very often and rarely see EML parked outside when I do.
Keep up the good work and hopefully we might bump in to eack other at some stage.

Cheers

So has anyone edited there panel.cfg file so the VC appears with all the gauges showing? If so could you share it?

Thanks

I am more impressed by your pictures every day Gavin, that last shot of EML on take off is mind blowing!

I live in Renwick and work at Woodbourne. Have been in the Mob for 22 years now, but looking at getting out soon. Obviously you have been on Base to take shots before, so if you are ever out again let me know.
Thanks for the offer of high res shots. My next model is going to be a Cresco, so if you get near one of those - go nuts with the camera !!!

Cheers

I have re-done the XML file for the airspeed gauge, using the FS2004 format. It works fine in FSX and I am getting it tested in 2004. If successful I will look at re-doing the other gauges, then the FS2004 fans can rejoice!! Fingers crossed.
I have to redo the Fletcher 400 to work in FSX accel/SP2, so I will also re program the XML gauges in FS2004 format. Then I will re-release as a genuine FS2004/FSX version too.

For anybody familar with getting into the "FU24_Walter.CAB" and changing the asi.XML file then this is the replacement text:

<Gauge Name="Fletcher Airpseed" Version="2.0">
<Image Name="asi_background.bmp" Luminous="No" />

<Element>
<Position X="66" Y="66" />
<Image Name="asi_Needle.bmp" PointsTo="West" >
<Axis X="52" Y="3.5" />
</Image>

<Rotate>
<Value Minimum="0" Maximum="150">(A:Airspeed Indicated, knots)</Value>
<Failures>
<SYSTEM_PITOT_STATIC Action="0"/>
<SYSTEM_VACUUM Action="0"/>
<GAUGE_AIRSPEED Action="0"/>
<SYSTEM_ELECTRICAL_PANELS Action="0"/>
</Failures>
<Nonlinearity>
<Item Value= "0" X= "66" Y= "23" />
<Item Value= "40" X="101" Y= "30" />
<Item Value= "60" X="116" Y= "66" />
<Item Value= "80" X= "90" Y="110" />
<Item Value="100" X= "38" Y="110" />
<Item Value="120" X= "10" Y= "66" />
<Item Value="140" X= "37" Y= "20" />
<Item Value="150" X= "66" Y= "23" />
</Nonlinearity>
<Delay Degreespersecond="180" />
</Rotate>
</Element>
</Gauge>

Otherwise please wait for the results and if successful I will finish the gauges and re-upload a BETA2 !!

Hi Deane

I used the info and cab files and so far have achieved great results with the panel for FS9

A great aircraft to fly--lots of power

Hope there will be a lot of happy simmers out there.
