I managed to get FSX hooked up to the inspire server via FSHostClient... pretty simple really... just a little weirdness here and there due to terrain differences... Anyway, I was flying around NZMF and discovered it is at 850ft... yikes!
So I double checked and realised I had not put the 20m Mesh or Topo back into FSX after re-installing... so I added those in and got this:

I did some hunting, and found an old post by Christian that had a link to a "fix" by Philip Middlemiss that flattens everything out... unfortunately, it does some rather drastic editing to the terrain!!
:
So I thought I would try flattening it out myself... but for the life of me I cannot get that stupid column of rock to go away!... I have created a flatten using "FSX KML" (and GoogleEarth)... and it half works... you can see in this screenshot the flatten polygon I created (the light green area around the base of the column) ... and also that the little outcrop in the bottom right corner has been cut away...

Now what I want to know is... How the freaking hell do I get that column to come down to the same level as my flatten? Do I need to create a replacement AFCAD or something to drop the airport altitude down to 3metres like the flatten?
Someone help me please... Its driving me freaking nuts!!
