On-line flying

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby Moriarty » Tue Jan 08, 2008 8:16 pm

probably a silly question BUT!!

Does Anybody actually FLY online in this community?
I have looked in all the places that seem logical to me, but havent found anything yet.

If you do, can I come and play too? I promise to only crash MY Rapide!!

So where, when and how etc. As to the HOW, I have flown online at fs top gun so I know HOW to make FS9 do multiplayer. just would LOVE to have an NZ site and fly around my own rather beautiful country.

I also have most of the available scenery loaded, personal preferences are older piston engined transports.
thanks for reading this, hope we can play sometime.......

Hi Bob,
Yes I like to fly online from time to time, as do many others.

Have a flick through the 'Multiplayer sub forum' threads for more info on what others are up to ;)

Cheers.

The Inspire server is a sort of informal place for pilots to have a fly together, it's mostly Craig (VH-CC1) and Mike (Creator2003) and friends who use it. It's quick and easy to get into, all you have to do is copy and paste 203.114.130.15:81 into the IP field in the FS9 multiplayer screen. You can check if anyone's online here.

IVAO and VATSIM are communities that simulate an air traffic control environment - basically everyone plays pretend pilot or controller online, talking to eachother on simulated radio frequencies, with near-real-world procedures.

Yep, check out the pinned topic "I'm going Online" in the Multiplayer forum.

As Brock mentioned there are different places for Multiplayer depending on your how you want to fly. The good thing is everybody is catered for whether they want to fly full on simulated or informally.

I'm normally on the FS2004 Inspire server Friday nights from about 2030hrs. There are usually a few others on the same time Friday and Saturdays.

I mainly fly rotorwing but also happy doing fixed wing low and slow around the hills.

So don't be shy either Inspire, VATSIM or IVAO come on and join in.
