Hi all!

A coupla days ago I made the big jump back into payware - IRIS' P-40 pack (woo Kiwi N!) and Just Flight's Spitfire pack.

The Mk.Vb in 303 Sqn scheme - BM144 was the subject of my first ever Spitfire model kit - is pretty much all I fly now besides the Nemeth MD500, so I thought it only fair that I take some screenies of my flight around the patch last night.

At the mo, Number 12 is my favourite!

Just wanted to say to our favourite Snowman, Lawrie I love your Wanganui scenery - it may not be an EXACT representation of NZWU, but it's a ton better than anything else out there. Bravo!

Thanks Zac. Its only an old one i did a few years back for myself, that i tidied up a bit and uploaded for others to share.
I have been thinking of maybe updating it, and changing some of the buildings to ones a little more like the real thing (terminal in particular), and a bit of a general tidy up.
Interesting looking large agn buildings you have around the airport in your sim,.......... none of those in mine............
NICE spitty !!

Lawrie. >nzflag<

Yeah, um, default autogen really sucks around here. I was out at the aerodrome today and yesterday (ZK-DAK came for a visit) and nope, no structures at all around there!

I must say, I HIGHLY recommend the Spitfire pack. I only have two minor complaints: 1) some of the textures are a tad blurry and inaccurate, and b) there are no Marks VIII, XVI or low-back XIV (a la the old Alpine Fighter Collection machine NH799/ZK-XIV). To be finickety, there aren't any IIIs, IVs or ANY high altitude machines, but let's face it, we can do without 'em!

Sam, thanks! It's one I downloaded with the GNZLAP stuff. Gotta say it really makes the experience that much better - taxiing out to 11 and having to hold nextdoor while 'EAM comes in to land! Very cool!

Wouldn't be GNZLAP as it doesn't go that heavy.
The Henry Tomkiewicz model is worth having (think it comes with VOZ AI) but you can get it from HTAI Models.
Repaints will be on AVSIM.
Anything from Henry is worth it...

Edit: Zac maybe your thinking of the VOZ AI pack it uses that B1900D with ANZ paints B-)

Yes, that's the one! Sorry all.

Ian, yes, Marion is a real looker......sure would be nice to have a repaint of her....and just to be pedantic, it was *actually* Wal Denholm's AVspecs, not Garth's Pioneer who did the work on this lady...

Ok, a member at Dave Homewood's site requested some cockpit shots so I thought I'd do the generous thing and post 'em here too :) .

Pretty much all you see is clickable. Annoyingly, the radiator shutter isn't, but ah well. Win some lose some ;)

Enjoy!

A Spitty cockpit , I wish Realair had done teardrop mk14 , seems no one interests other than the mk16 buy crowd who did the Lancastrian , and i cant find them :o

I'd dearly LOVE a teardrop XIV! In my opinion a teardrop canopy really makes a XIV something interesting. Not a fan AT ALL of the highback ones :poo:
