You'll notice the approach into Nelson is a bit skewed which was due to a mean cross-wind (thanx to real-time weather lookups). Big ups to Ian Warren for the scenery distros, and all the other contributors to those, cheers all :-)

Unfortunately there's no way my PC can handle capturing video AND playing FS9 at the same time, so this was kinda a comprimiseDeans repaints: http://www.deeknow.com/

Err... no... I wouldnt know an ILS approach if I tripped over one.![]()
I just flew NZWN-TR-TSM-NZNS and the in-game ATC conveniently gave me a RWY 20 approach into Nelson.
I should've listened more closely to the ATIS recording coz I didnt actually realise I was flyin so sideways till
the runway came into sight thru the clouds and I had to start pointin the nose of the thing in the right direction.
Every other time I've gone WN-NS I seem to have to swing around and land on RWY 2, I guess its a prevailing
wind thing at the site of the airfield, or is it just a random game-engine selection thing do you reckon?Deans repaints: http://www.deeknow.com/

Yea thats correct, but in FS 8/10 ATC will give me 5R. Actuly I prefer the 5R approch, come in from the south fly a right base and in over the water

Depends, it could also beep if he had it tuned to a VOR or other navigational (radio) aid. It could be an ILS if he was tuned into an ILS frequency (but unless you can identify the morse code used there...), I'd say it was the code of a VOR or similar.![]()

As Alex suggested, I guess it was the VOR freq, I'd set NAV1 to the Nelson VOR manually @ 'TSM' after turning off the radial I'd been following from 'TR'Deans repaints: http://www.deeknow.com/

Yepthe morse ID in the slideshow matches NS VOR's morse identifier, which is -. ... as shown on the Nelson VORSEC Chart (NZAIP - NZNS AD2 - 32.1)
