Hi Robin

I was having a tidy up of AFCADs (there was a stray one in the Omaka scenery that was causing some issues) and I have messed up the Omaka ones somewhat (yes I know my fault) - can you tell me what (a date of the AFCAD should do the trick) AFCAD comes with Real NZ Omaka and where it should be located - ie addon scenery/scenery or scenery/world or with the Omaka/Marlborough file? I guess I could just delete Marlboruogh and reinstall.

I have also been meaning to ask you for sometime a couple of questions - with Tauranga the shadows of the aircaft disappear down one end of the scenery (at the eastern end). Do you know what could cause this? Sorry to carry on but at Rotorua the sealed runway seems awlfully bumpy - again do you know what could be causing this (stray AFCAD again?)?

Cheers

If you are talking about FS2004, then I think the Omaka AFCAD file is located in Addon Scenery\scenery, and is dated 6/6/07. There should also be a COPY in Scenery\World\scenery. The copy is there simply to enforce the correct airport elevation for AI aircraft, and is required. (The copy may be dated a lot earlier -- it is normally just a minimum-facilities version to set the elevation.)
Tauranga -- I'm not aware of any problem with the shadows, it may be an AFCAD problem. Missing aircraft shadows is normally caused by a difference between the flatten elevation and the AFCAD elevation -- a different AFCAD that the one designed for it would cause this.
Rotorua -- I've had reports of a bumpy runway at Rotorua -- I have always understood that the runway surface determines the degree of bumpiness. I wonder if some systems have a very strong bumpiness with a 'bitumus' surface. It would be interesting to try changing the runway surface to something else (such as asphalt) and see if it helps.

Yea it is FS2004.

Thanks for the pointers - I will have a look later today and see whether any of your suggestions work.
