Nice stuff Charl- I've just been on a 'sortie' around Marlborough in the Kayman myself, and couldn't help thinking how much better it would have been with another twin at my side!
But why I've really posted here is for this question- Is it possible to get an effect with this heli that causes all the grass to blow up/sea to spray when you hover above it? (I think it's called rotor wash- can't be sure, I'm a plank flyer)
I've seen it with many other models but have no idea how to add it with the Kayman...

The Kaman also does it over default terrain, but not over photoreal it seems (can't remember if others do?)
For water in FS9, comment out the last line in the [Effects] section in aircraft.cfg to read
[effects]
wake = fx_wake
water = fx_spray
dirt = fx_tchdrt
concrete = fx_sparks
//waterrotorwash = fx_rtr_wt

Worked for me...

Other twealks for FS9:
Better VC resolution:
In the panel.cfg change [VCockpit01] section pixel size to
pixel_size=1024,1024

And to get rid of the Big Smoke on landing, add the touchdown, so:
[effects]
wake = fx_wake
water = fx_spray
dirt = fx_tchdrt
concrete = fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1
//waterrotorwash = fx_rtr_wt

First time I installed this the gear would not retract. Re-assigned the keys but no difference. I reinstalled it and it now works fine..odd.

Edit: Found the problem. I have my default flight set up as Cold and dark. With this model's panel it does not seem possible to turn on the master etc and therefore the gear would not operate. A trap for older players smile.gif

I have noticed that the Gross weight entry is incorrect. In my cfg file the empty weight is the same as the Gross weight. Anyone have any idea as to what the max gross weight should be?

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Hi guys.

This is my first time in here and I had to stop in and say thank you for the Seasprite model! It is a nice treat. I have a bit of history with this ship and really appreciate it.

I would also like to ask Nigel Booth and Adrian Brauschn if we may release this repaint modification we did of the original textures. Simply blended the new colour in and added Aussie Roundels and markings. Since there is no PK may we please release this using your original texture? Full credit will be giving.

Thanks

Rob

Hi,

i'm one of the team member of Francesim.com.

For this NH90, I haven't seen any news for at least more than one year. The second link goes to our old forum, which has been closed one or two years ago even if you are still able to read it (when it's working...).

but, there is another project from this group of creator: http://forum.gmax-ac.fr/viewtopic.php?t=236

To the authors of the SH-2G: thank you, it's a great model, with some pretty cool animations like the winch.

They don't really like to say when it will be ready. They do that "for their pleisure and for their friends", so the only answer I can give you is: "when the author decide to release it".

Sorry.

PS: for the moment there is no VC and no flight dynamics, just two models (CSAR and NFH).
