Just stick to the speed limit, move your head enough so the examiner can see when you're checking your mirrors, indicate well and keep a good following distance.

You can't fail after 4 years of practice!

i have tried in a manual but get the gear changes messed up but yes i can drive a manual to some success but i know it would take more time than i have to get it right as i have a computer it job that i start on thusday all going well. I have also spent around the $400 on lessons from a driver training firm and was advised to go in a auto as he thinks i am more confident and more likely to pass first time round

Sorry to offend but i really cant believe that...

...i mean i remember turning 15 and "boom" i was down to that AA like a rocket! and on the date i was due to progress i would book ahead, i had a few mates who couldnt be botherd getting their licenses...I ended up not driving them around and told them to get there s&#t together,

As I have said before, I waited untill I was 17 before I got my learners license. I reckon this is one of the reasons I have not caused an accident and I have managed to avoid quite a few arses on the road. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, 15 is too young to be driving. *rant mode off*

I reckon that attitude has a lot to do with it. I always treated it as just being a means to get around and I was so sh*t scared when I started that I was never going to do anything stupid. I was always using my parents car aswell so I was scared of pranging it. For the first 6-8 months of driving, I was pretty damn paranoid.

thanks guys i failed my test today as i had a driver that failed to signal on a roundabout but the testing officer said i was not fault so he rebooked me for next week on the 24 of this month will be sure to pass this time

How can you fail if it wasn't your fault?

I didn't signal at all driving straight through the roundabout in my test and I still passed

hi guys i went for the the retest today and passed it by 91% so i have now started on the road to more freedom and so far i am loving it but i can only drive autos but hey i don't mind as i wil still be gaining more experince in manuals in the meantime so thanks to all who given me advice as it came in very handy
