Trolly, I know you've got a proposed date but do you have a finalised date and time and origin/destination?

Hi guys,

I can provide procedural controll as Auckland Oceanic Controll, I could cover the entire oceanic area if Mathew and Alex did the radar positions? Otherwise if you guys have it covered I'll come along for some flights.

Thanks
James

Alrighty- the official date will be Sunday the 4th of November, starting at 6.00pm NZ time.

The server will be running all afternoon, so you may start at whatever airport you wish, however, you must arrive at Auckland International (NZAA) prior to the 6.00pm start time in order for ATC to clear you out across the Tasman.

Brisbane International (YBBN) will be our final destination, which will be controlled via ATC via teamspeak (more info to come on that later, along with the server IP and password).

All sorts of aircraft are accepted, however, after you have logged onto the server, please change to one of the default aircraft that resembles your'e addon the closest, then lock your framerate counter at 25FPS.

Please continue to post in this thread if you will be joining us or could provide extra ATC services winkyy.gif

We will have ATC for Brisbane, so I suggest you go via there, then onto PMQ or wherever..

easy, i'll go un atc's.. Everyone else going to BBN so there'll be nothing at PMQ or near there. Some Heli's might not be able to make it to BBN direct from LHI

edit: to add PMQ DOES NOT have atc.

If you're using FSX, you'll need the FSHostClient program to be able to connect to an FSHost server. You can download it for free from the FSHostClient page. That page also explains how to install it and how to connect to an FSHost server. FSHostClient is only for people running FSX that want to connect to an FSHost server. FS2002 and FS2004 users don't need it, although players from all three games will still be able to fly together and see each other in the game.

okay will be going but may only be able to be on for an hour or so for various reasons.
anyway what aircraft will most be using (heavy jet?, medium prop) I will probably go in a 737-700 so do I have to start in a 737-400 first then change to my 737-700?

You may want to only fly one leg then (Auckland- Norfolk Island perhaps) as we won't be using time acceleration.

Here is the final briefing:

Make sure you are at NZAA by 6pm tonight, where ATC will guide you out over the Tasman.

You can either fly directly to YBBN, or make stops at Norfolk Island and/or Lord Howe Island along the way, depending on your chosen aircraft's range.

However, bear in mind that ATC will only be available at the following times:
YSNF and YLHI approach and departure: From 6pm to 9pm only,
YBBN approach: From 9.30pm onwards
(You may wish to plan a short stop at an island airport before continuing)

Also, please remember:
After you have logged onto the server, please change to one of the default FS aircraft that resembles your addon aircraft the closest (before switching back to your chosen addon), then lock your framerate counter at 25FPS (in the display settings)

If you're are using FSX, you'll need the FSHostClient program to be able to connect to an FSHost server. You can download it for free from: http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/?fshostclient.html

*All times are in New Zealand local format (GMT +13 hours)

i hope u guy arent JUST catering for fixed wing. bear in mind that there WILL be choppers flying that CANT go 350KIAS, might be an idea of ATC hangs around rather then leaving the back bunch behind.
