Where to go for freeware ?

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby kiwibarguy » Mon Oct 01, 2007 10:32 am

Hi there. Kiwibarguy here. i know these websites

www.flightsim.com
www.avsim.com
www.fsdownloads.com

but could you recommend any other useful websites so i can download scenery as i travel around the world in my little Cessna.

B the way i landed in Whitecliff, Tanna island in New Caledonia. If you check it out there is quite a striking mountain next to the runway yet when i looked for it on images it doesn't appear to be have been photographed by anyone. I try to keep my folder up to date with each flight with the best possible photos that i can take so please take a look if you want. None have been photoshopped and i am trying my best (im a newbie) to keep up to the standards you all have raised them to.

Enjoy your flight. Kiwibarguy.

You could try here it lists the various sceneries by country with links to the various sources.

Depends if you are after FS9 or FSX.
Testers are born to fiddle. What does this button do? Oh! Never mind.....

Thanks Bandit, this list is going to make my trip a whole lot better. Its a shame there aren't any for Indonesia, Thailand, South East Asia. But with your help i am able to make a very loooong journey into a more interesting one. I'm in Vanuatu at the moment so once i get up to Hong Kong i can look up this webpage and decide whether i go India or up to Japan. Thanks alot!! biggrin.gif
I hope i can help you out sometime.

I'll endorse Bandit's link to Robert-Jan Oosterloo's site. It's updated pretty regularly, and very comprehensive, whether you're using FSX, FS2004 or even FS2002. I use it all the time. cool.gif
