With my new graphics card, FSX is running quite well on my PC (15-20 frames average), Tim's work is really great, and I have to thank Robin for RealNZ as well, and the ARNZ guys for a few repaints you see there (and hinch for the dash repaint). winkyy.gif

I am using an old version of Sony Vegas to do the editing and stuff. winkyy.gif

15-20 frames mmmmhhhhhhh but hey you did a vid winkyy.gif dude the timing was spot on with the changes, and another thumbs up ,but fsx sux full stop lol,my opinon ,dont take it to heart fsxers but you are truly fooled buy tech stuff that does not even run with our systems ,fsx is like fs2004 on like go go juice ,not really much different just a rip of of all the payware designers out there with water and missions .

Alex you are one hell of a simpilot.
I thought the Beech came in smoothly enough to have a cuppa going at the same time, but the way you greased that nodding dog Dash in, well, I'll fly with you any time.
Well done it's great to see folks dipping into video, and once the ice is broken one is tempted to use it more.

Mike FSX is what you make of it - personally I treat it as a game curiosity like Solitaire, and it's great for screenshots and some eye candy.
Like you, I see FS9 as a simulator not a game.
But even you would agree Alex's movie looks great!

Yea, with fraps going FSX went right down to about 10, and was tricky to fly well, thanks for the comments. thumbup1.gif

Charl, I knew someone would post something like that - let me upload the sound the herc made when I thumped it down. laugh.gif

Edit; You can find the .wav file here. Its about 950kb, and I'll leave it up for a day or so. winkyy.gif

Well of course 99% of video ends up on the cutting room floor, and you aren't normally going to advertise that, are you?
Here's one I thought I'd submit, using barest essentials.
It' s a continuous Recorder sequence, broken only once for a change of view - essentially real time.
The music was playing while I ran the replay, so was unintentional, but I left it in.
I dropped it into Windows Moviemaker and applied one transition before uploading to Photobucket.
There I found some old uploaded pics and used PB's Remix feature to create a multimedia strip.
Titles and further transitions were added online, and this is the result:

What this is supposed to demonstrate is that you can do the whole job using freeware and a little imagination!

Nice work Charl, I bet it would've taken a bit of effort to get those aircraft into position eh? smile.gif

Ahh you'll notice they are not in position!
I did manage to get 3 of 'em where they should be, but gave it up in disgust when I noticed I'd been trying it with a 15kt wind in place.
You get ever more respect for those display pilots...

Haha Mike I assume you'll have other better reasons to blow the $3!
The video is kinda brief because my rig decided it will hang after 2 or 3 clips have been loaded in succession.
This essentially rules out editing, so I'd hoped to fix that before the comp closed...
Anyway the submission is meant to show that you don't need the full suite of very expensive video software to produce a viewable clip.
C'mon all you aspirant Directors!

[The box is at the Techies right now (No flight simulator!! ohmy.gif ) who are mumbling "Windows corrupted files...re-install.."]

Oh bummer charl thats no good ,there is a upside though you get a clean install and fs always runs like 50% better with a new windows install ,
oh i remeber the days of no flash software to edit with etc.. it can be done very ezy,
one of my tricks that i still use today are with camera placing and the fly by shots ,,i cheat and record with the freeware recorder module and sit around with my planes and choppers and the end of runways with the camera ready and then play the recordings back ,,ezy aye but one that not many people do ,they always use default view like tower etc....
when i was using adobe prem i found it really hard to do the most basic editing and ended up using the default media editing with XP "much better "
so free is good and im sure you captured that sweet charl ,maybe if i chat the chicks up down the road they will give me free net with my $3 coffee winkyy.gif laugh.gif
ya just never know
and for those out there that think they cant make a video ,there is no such word as cant ... ohmy.gif yes thats right no such word didnt you mother ever tell you that
be in to win you just never know what can happen
