Kensington Park and other Helipads

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby Mark Richards » Mon Sep 24, 2007 2:19 pm

Does anyone know if anyone has produced scenery for NZSJ - Kensington Park Helipad in Whangarei, where the N.E.S.T S-76's operate from???

Also after any other hospital helipads which have been produced around New Zealand.

The pad at Rotorua Hospital has been done by Mike, you can read about it here. Also, Jared has done Auckland Hospital (you need RealNZ Auckland) - info here. winkyy.gif

Im not 100% sure but I know Creator2003 may possibly be working on NZJA (TG-Hos) and ZZHN (Waikato Hospital) they should be wicked releases so keep an eye out for them no doubt Mike will have a clever little trick up his sleeve to entice us all.

Charl did provide an AFCAD for the S76s to land in,, in GNZLAP 5.0.
It was named NZW1 (AF2_NZW1.bgl).
I am currently working on and airport scenery for Whangarei NZWR, and was going to include a basic scenery for the hospital and helipad with it. (The helipad wont be as flash as one Mike would do though).

I also would love to see your NZWR. Will it be photoreal like this one: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=67478

I have grand parents up their so I have flown up there a lot.
It's my favourite little airport.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Sorry Kelburn,........... no, its not a photoreal one like Dave Quirys one unfortunately.
Shame i cant get hold of him, wouldnt mind using his buildings in it.
But it will fit into the landscape better, and wont have the big raised humps of water at each end of the runway, like some sceneries for the area have....................

Nice one Mike, cant wait for the Tauranga Hospital one.If you are going to do one for Whangarei, i might just make a very easily removed basic one in my NZWR scenry, so people can use your masterpeice when its ready. I was only going to do a quick , rough representation of it anyway, just for something better looking than the surrounding default buildings for people to land helo's at, (and of course Charls S-76s from GNZLAP 5.0).

Also looking at doing NZKO Kaikohe, and NZDA Dargaville, to go with NZWR Whangarei, and the already released NZKK Kerikeri, and NZKT Kaitaia, just to finish off the far north airports.

Just to add to this tread mark there is also my Raglan 2007 scenery that has the rescue pad there and buildings just on the town side of raglan a/p and my waikato city scenery buildings with waikato hospital buildings and hanger found on avsim that is only the beta version though ,new and really improved one coming along soonish ..
due to a texture hiccup with hamz this is going to take alittle longer but you can be sure to know that im working on them at a steady pace ...
mike

That looks awesome creator, brings back memories from driving through there and doing the odd bit at the Whangarei Ambulance Station when I was working at the Marsden Ambulance Station in Ruakaka.

A lovely tease and one I can't wait for!

I'll go looking for Raglan as well, thanks for the pointer.

VERY NICE!

I only set up the S-76 on the pad as I don't have time to fly tonight before trying to get SOME sleep before my 04:00 start.

Here's some quick screenies of the Northland Electricity Rescue Sikorsky S-76 ZK-ISJ on the pad:

Thanks for doing this for me and everyone else who loves Rotary Wing. Expect to see HLM1 and HLM2 (Helimed) flying online on VATSIM some more.
