From Stuff.co.nz:
The Air Force says central and upper North Island residents should not be alarmed if they see a C-130 Hercules aircraft flying as low as 80m over the region over the next 16 days.

Formation flying, operations from various landing zones, the dropping of light equipment to targeted drop zones and tactical night flying will make up the flying training essential for RNZAF C-130 Hercules operations.

Residents of Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Whangarei, Whakatane and Taupo should also keep an eye out for the C-130 as it conducts low level approaches and airfield overshoots into the local airfields.

The bi-annual exercise for RNZAF 40 Squadron crews will operate from the Air Force base at Whenuapai.
