Quite a dramatic video, I'm always nervous when the props shatter in these situations; really wouldn't want to catch a piece of one of those in the face! Good thing there were no serious injuries though; seems like the pilots did the best they could in the circumstances.

Great video- not the content obviously, but well captured.

I wonder if Aircrash Investigation will make a episode about this one?

sorry. I just re-read it. I thought you meant "great video but not the content that ZKTOM was meaning" not Great video but not what happened in it"
A bit of a dumb moment there from me

Yeah abit sad seeing a nice plane falling over like that ,even the misses went mike mike look at this ,i just looked up when the gear failed "ooooooooocrap " thats pretty cool tongue.gif
everyone likes a good crash with lots of carnage and everyone is sweet in the end biggrin.gif ,
remember the post about the 1900 belly landing and what would have or could have happened if the decided to land with the gear down anyway ,this is a perfect exsample of what could of happen

is it just me... or can anyone else hear the 'machine gun' as that plane is touching down?? blink.gif ninja.gif ohmy.gif

I assume there is a guy next to the video with a highspeed auto camera or something... but it sure sounds like a machine gun!

Yes, it's a high speed shutter on a camera.

Saw on the TV news this morning that another Dash 8Q400 had the same problems earlier today, on a flight from Kobenhavn to Lithuania. SAS have now grounded all the Dash 8 Q400s

I was just searching for articles on the net, and noticed that google had an advertisment next to the story:-

Yeah that's not too good! Saw the topic on PPruNe and thought that it was the first story and someone had got the city wrong! Did the gear fold up again this time, the article's not entirely clear?
