Wow Lawrie! Great to see some new airports! The only problem I found was almost every single NZ scenery i used to have had a badly aligned afcad, eg you start at a gate, but you're in the carpark dry.gif I remember this at least at NZCH, NZNS, and NZPM. Are yours any better?Tom

Havnt had any complaints about any of my sceneries starting in a carpark or anywhere else. ohmy.gif blink.gif
Most of my sceneries start by default at either the active runway, or the hold-short point before the runway. smile.gif
Only one way to satisfy your curiosity, downloaded them, FOLLOW the INSTRUCTIONS, and have a look for yourself.......

Hi Lawrie

Looking forwrd to PN! yes wouldn't mind seeing Wanganui as well! Do you have New Plymouth in your plans for future airports?

I have finally installed all your sceneries last night - they are looking great (especially Napier)!

I have one problem though - the Hamilton Airport scenery is covered with an unusual amount of trees including some on taxiways. I haven't had a chance yet to look through my files to find out what the problem is but do you have any idea what maybe causing this?

Hmmmm,...................... curious sad.gif blink.gif I never placed any trees anywhere near any taxiways etc, and even the default trees dont show up anywhere near any taxiways in FS9. You havnt by chance got another different AFCAD file for NZHN in the FS9 / Addon Scenery / Scenery folder, or the FS9 / Scenery / World / Scenery folder ?? Two different AFCADs causing a conflict, and placing things like taxiways in slightly different positions could cause this.
The AFCAD for my scenery is IN Hamilton's "Scenery" folder, and does NOT need to be anywhere else. Some scenery texture addons like VOZ, and FScene (to name a couple), as well as improving the looks of agn buildings and trees etc, also move some of the agn to different positions as well. Are you using any of these addons ??
Im really curious, as no-one else has reported this problem with Hamilton, in FS9 or FSX. (it does work in FSX, someone sent me a few pics of it in FSX).
Otherwise, i might have to come around to your place, and have a nosey to see whats what..................

Hmm thanks for that Lawrie - I have VOZ (not FS Scene or other add on that should affect it) so I better check that I have "Unvozed" (pretty sure I have). I deleted a stray Hamilton AFCAD in the FS9 / Addon Scenery / Scenery folder with no effect but I must admit I haven't checked FS9 / Scenery / World / Scenery folder yet - I wil double check tonight. I am afraid I also have trees at Ryans Creek everywhere also.

For the Ryans Creek trees, did you copy and paste the exclude line into the main scenery.cfg file in FS9 ?????
The exclude line removes the trees at Ryans Creek. Read the install instructions again if you havnt done this.
If you have done it, open the main FS9 scenery.cfg file with notepad, and scroll down to the Ryans Creek entry there, and make sure that the exclude line is actually there, (example of what it should look like in the install instructions), as you may not have saved it before exiting.
As for the trees at Hamilton, you have me absolutely baffled. I have seen the scenery in several other FS9 sims and no trees etc in any taxiways, not even in FSX ! Can you take a few screenies and zip them up and e-mail them to me....... snowman@nzff.org
At this point, i can only suggest the possibility of VOZ causing it. I used to use VOZ, and also found that i had anomolous things like trees in some runways, and even buildings in some. I no longer use VOZ, as i have found much better textures for things like trees, and buildings etc etc. VOZ looks outstanding in Aussie, but for my personal tastes, i dont like all the Aussie trees in NZ. I think the "TreeX" FSX trees for FS9 are much better personally.

Ryans Creek is fixed - you are right I didn't save the exclude - I put it in but didn't save it for some reason (probably distracted by wife, kids etc).

Hamilton - well I am completely baffled as well as I have tried everything. I have checked that VOZ is Unvozzed. I temporarily deinstalled your scenery and the trees were still there in the default scenery?! I also made sure my other Hamilton scenery was completely gone as well - I am pretty sure everything has been eliminated. I also searched for stray AFCADS - pretty sure they have all gone. The trees appear on taxiways only and seem to sprout just where you enter a new taxiway. I'll send you some pics or send them to you when I get a chance. It would appear that it isn't your scenery but something that is lurking in my system.

Sorry Paul, i only just noticed that i forgot to answer one of your questions from a couple of days ago,.......................
YES, New Plymouth is on the workbench. Although, i did read a post somwhere here last year, about someone doing a photoreal New Plymouth Airport, he even posted some pics of the progress. I dunno whats happened to that..................

Found a scenery hidden away in a folder on my HDD that i started about 3 years ago, and forgot about.....................
Norfolk Island Airport YSNF. Ok , so its not exactly a New Zealand scenery, but its near enough for me, and Air NZ flew there.
Ive been working on finishing it off over the last few weeks. Any interest in me uploading it to Avsim ???
You will need the Norfolk Island fix for FS2004 first, as Microsoft's Norfolk Island is erronously about 90% water.
You can find a link to the Norfolk Island Fix in this thread.........................

Hi Lawrie,
For some reason I have no texture on thew terminal at Norfolk Island. Everything else is fine. Any ideas or what the name of the textures required are?
Great scenery otherwise.
Cheers
Steve
