Anyway if we don't get 747's no one will fly them in here anymore

Assuming they stick around, there's still Cargolux, Air Pacific and possibly also Atlas Air from time to time. smile.gif

as far as I know Singapore and Malaysia Use mainly 777's (or at lest on xmas which is when I'm going to Vietnam all flights were in 777-200's by Malaysia and Singapore)

Anyway there's still:
Malaysia
QANTAS
Thai
Cathay

All of those at certain times e.g. not all the time more like 10-50% of the time

Air Pacific

Korean Air

and the occasional surprise

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Air Pacific 744 is every Saturday. Arrives from KLAX via Nadi at about 10am. Leaves again on a return trip at around 1. At least thats what I can remember from September last year when we went on it..

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's still chartered to ANZ Cargo; that's why I said "assuming they stick around" because they may well no longer be flying it here by the time all the ANZ 747s are retired. smile.gif

I distinctly remember hearing an American accent over the scanner reading out 'Noo Zeelund' when I took this photo recently:

Yay some 777's! 747s are getting old-new tech needed, will be good to see them flying+it will save ANZ big time on fuels.

Air Pacific are flicking their 747s and 767s for a fleet of 787s - in about 5 years time 747s might be a rare sight in NZ.

Qantas still has 30 747's, we'll still see those around. Can't replace them all with A380s, especially not their new -400ERs
