Apparently the P-51A which hit the tail of the P-51D out was a recent home built one (full scale) from original plans - very sad.

That's very unfortunate. The guy in the blue one was lucky it didn't flip over as well though.

ohmy.gif Oh my goodness....I was going to Oshkosh this year, but several things got in the way. How horrible! Gerry Beck, thats just awful. As soon as you said "homebuilt P-51A" I just *knew* it was him. Oh my goodness...
