Hey cheers Alex.. maybe I should make a career outta it.. :P Its just coz it makes the old man grumpy which makes me grumpy.. haha

And Keagan- it would be better if they were using J31's aswell as 1900's, but Eagle are using them where the Vincent a/c could-and should- be used.

Wow i got heated over this...

Fair point, but from what I can gather the VA 1900s are pretty full on. There are at least three or four flights a day to Palmy from Wellington a day alone.. Im not sure of the other routes that VA operate for Eagle, but Im sure that the VA 1900's are well utilised.

I would agree with you VictorAlphaCharlie (or your father) That the Jetstreams are very very cramped, and I was late, and I missed my connection to Auckland along with 10other paxs :P

I wouldn't even try to guess who is and isn't using whose aircraft and why. A lot of this is sorted out in back rooms by accountants and usually has nothing to do with aircraft types at all. It is more often a case of who is mates with who, or who do I not want getting what business.

Eagle is really going through a lot of rebuilding and training at the moment with a huge number of new hires etc after ANZ soaked up a whole lot of pilots. ANZ have also been bleeding pilots overseas recently with a lot of my friends heading overseas to airlines where they will get a captaincy on modern aircraft in less than a quarter of the time it would take if they stayed here, and at vastly higher dollars as well. QFA etc are also deperatley short I have heard.

And keep an eye on the parking gates for some new types in Eagle colours. :wink2:
CPU- i7 4790K @4.0Gb Cooler- Noctua NH-D15 M/B- Z97 ProGamer P/S- 750W RAM- 16Gb
Graphics- Nvidia GTX970 16Gb Drives- 2x 120Gb SSD Samsung 850EVO, 1x 2Tb HD, 1x DVD-RW
Sound- on M/B Logitec 5.1 surround sound system OS- Win 10 pro , all wrapped in a black Corsair case Display - Panasonic UHD 4k 50" Flatscreen TV.( 3840x2160 Res)

Air NZ wont give em the money to get more 1900s (although I think they have reciently got a 2nd had one and are looking at another).

I was surprised to see Eagle got other 1900d last month, registered ZK-EAQ ex N846CA of Continental Connection (CommutAir)
And keep an eye on the parking gates for some new types in Eagle colours.

What what what? Why are they changing liverys?

Umm I thought this meant they were using different planes in the same livery not changing liveries?

Not really a surprise since they did the deal last year and it was delivered in mid march this year to Hamilton.

Awesome- does that mean we are going to see a load of Jetstreams in ANZ Link colours?

No, it was a surprise for me as ANZ's website had said it already had 17 Beech1900D for quite a while now, and it was only announced in last months airliner World magazine. Also, I have not seen any photos on the net of it yet, not even on airliners.net... Plus, I remember reading back in December that Air Nelson got a new Dash (-NEJ) but remembered it as being a 1900d, and thought it was odd for ANZ to be recieving two 1900's in such a short period of time.

Guess you missed the memo then ;) another forum gave a tip off to the arrival date when the aircraft left Pago Pago.

Heres a bunch of photos for you from when it came in service in April

when the aircraft left Pago Pago

What route do the 1900d's take across the Pacific on transfer flights then?
