Did anyone else see that little article on 3 news comparing how Team NZ and Alinghi might do better or worse depending on wind speed?
It went something like, less than 9 knots Team NZ will do better, as their thinner hull keeps weight down. 9-12 it will be pretty even, but Alinghi can point their nose into the wind further than TNZ without losing speed. 12-16(?), Alinghi can speed on the downwind and go pretty fast.
Apparently the weather forecast for the next couple of days is for light winds, so hopefully that theory proves itself.
