Yeah, I was looking at that. What a cool aeroplane to be able to fly. 220 litres an hour though, what a gas guzzler!

When I first read that when it was first advertised a while ago, I read the rates as $110 per hour (i.e. including fuel), and was thinking what on earth am I doing flying a 172? :P

I think it's 2 dollars + something Joe.

There's a lot of interesting aircraft on trademe at he moment actually - the ZK-MAD Pitts share, the T28 trojan, various ultralights (as always), an $80,000 Piper Aztec (I'll take it! :P ), a really cool taildragger microlight (search cygnet) and 2 Tecnams. There was a luscombe not long ago as well I think.

1425hp doesnt come for free..... it works out around 6 litres per hour/per hp, a 172 is around 4 litres per hour/hp.... so not too bad.......
