If anyone is interested the beta for Edit Voice pack is now available for FSX

Here "žÂ³ http://www.fsonline.dk/en/index.php?title=EditVoicepack

The edit voice pack home page is http://www.editvoicepack.com/

For those of you who don¡¦t know what it is Edit Voice Pack is an enhancement of the default ATC in FS2002, FS2004 and the full FSX version is on it¡¦s way.

This adds features like handoffs (e.g. G¡¦day) ATC say decimal not point, and surface winds are given to you on landing and take-off. Basically you have the choice for a revised FAA ATC or ICAO ATC.

There is no running it while you are playing FS and there is not hit on FPS just run the program it will update the FSX (FS9, FS8) voice pack (takes about 15min at the most) and you are done and a backup is already made

I used it for FS9 and it was great and this FSX beta is not finished but even now it makes FSX ATC better

P.S. Will not affect users of Radar Contact in fact it works with it quite well I use RC for IFR and default (with Edit Voice pack) for VFR

Regards, Scott

Its a big pity that Lars decided to discontinue FS9 Support...

Anyway I have written a bit about the program a few months ago here:

Hmm I installed it into the main FSX folder, ran the program and it came up with "Application Error" :(

All the files that came with the zip file must be placed in a folder of there own (call it what you want then just run the .exe file.

I was convinced I'd heard ATC saying "decimal" at some point in the past, but I couldn't figure where it had come from. EditVoicePack, eh? [/Penny drops]

Will invesitgate this one... B-)

Am downloading now- Remember that even though one mightnt have the time to learn aircraft or scenery development, there are lots of little things that we, as a community, can do to make the Flightsim better in NZ

Edit voice pack is a good example- It wouldnt take long for someone (YOU!) to check and update their local airport (for example, Whakatane Traffic just reverts to the ICAO code November Zulu Whiskey Kilo Traffic) and if we get a few people doing it and uploading them to the central EditVoicePack server then it wont take long to get them all done
