Compatibility or Not

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

The other day in between pondering the meaning of life, scratching me bum and picking fluff outta my belly button, I had a thought.

Have any of you ever tried putting MSFS aircraft or scenery into MS Combat FS?

Being both MSFS products does it work or are they coded completely different?

I realise effects like guns and missiles wouldn't probably work but would say a Cessna or Helo from FS9 be at least flyable.

Just wondering.

MS made it so you could do this.

I know FS98 with CFS1 but I'm not sure about the others

BUt it should work. It says so in the manuals

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Yea I did it with combat flight sim 98 I think. I had 747's with guns or f-18 fighting spitfires.

I dont know the answer to this, but I am just wondering: Do the combat flight sim series cover the entire world, like can you go flying anywhere you wish like in fs9? I never see any scenery or aircraft updates for it on the front page of avsim...

probably would not really work out too well for me...

There is barely enough room on a 152 yoke for one PTT button, so I doubt you'd be able to find room for the machine guns/cannon fire buttons and missile triggers etc. :ph43r:

Where ever there is a will, there is a way... Bolivia, Botswana, Ecuador, and Gabon all operate them in thier airforces!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I caught up with a workmate and he advised he has also had a 747 spitting lead. That'd get ATC's attention I'm picking.

AVSIM have a few things in the downloads for CFS. I must dust off my copy of Combat.
