Super...Good stuff James  .

Just a note for all pilots....NZWB is gonna be busy.....The design of the airbase won't help this fact....delays will be long!!! Please don't clog the chat box during this time, as it will slow things down even more so.

If you feel the need to chat to others on the chat box during this time, then please open up a private chat box with the person you wish to talk to.

If you find that FSX has spawned you in the air slew down to the ground first, then to NZWB airbase....and then slew to the parking apron.

Just a reminder that the push to talk button is 'caps lock' and the chat box can be openned using 'enter'.

Please print out the NOTAM....this provides a great deal of info regarding flight plans, radio frequencies and navigation frequencies. If you unable to make the departure, approach or STAR that ATC has issued you..........say so......and we will issue visual departures/approaches and vector you if needed.

If you have questions or are unsure about something place a post in this thread, or if you'd rather, send me a PM or an email and I'll try get back to you ASAP.

:)

Hey everyone,
If you're flying the Orion mission, Whenuapai tower may close after you all depart for the 'Maritime patrol' VFR segment of the flight. Whether it will stay open or not depends on how many pilots are flying that segment.
If it does close, use the Whenuapai frequency for traffic comms.

ahhh yes. It's my understanding that a weather station is to be placed on top of Swampy as well.....but I'm not sure the exact details.

I'll be there. Family commitments overtook last week.

I'll probably be in the Kingair - I seem to get slow frame rates in the Herc and Orion. Oh well.

Happy to be last cab off the rank and get used to the radio chatter.

Pen and paper are a big help. Get your IFR Clearance first....then go from there.

Well, thanks guys- It was an interesting session for me as my joystick problems are getting worse....as soon as I touch the throttle it will move to about 25% and brakes wont stop me.....that caused a bit of a problem trying to taxi from Woodburne (this was after getting kicked off the server twice)....adding to that was extreme twitchyness around the centre axis (i.e. watching the control column in the VC go crazy while im not even touching it etc) and some pretty terrible frame rates.

Anyway, should have a new joystick for next weeks session....
cheers- Enjoyed the VOR stuff tonight

Well that was just awesome!!! :D

I Had good fun in Woodbourne Tower, and got some flying in aswell in the King Air. Had a good turn out this week which was super!! Big welcome to the new comers who settled in really well. :)

We had some issues at the start with hosting the server but got them all sorted in the end  . Thanks for Hosting Ian.....your a champion  . We felt the 'wrath of the joysticks' tonight with Timmos going nuts and Ian's flight yoke breaking:(

Big Thanks to Scott, James, Tim and Ian for their ATC. I'll post my screen shots some time tomorrow if I get a chance. Jon's posting next weeks NOTAM........who knows what he'll cook up :ph43r: :plane: >nzflag<

Sorry I had to bail early - unfortunatly, when I am told theres a family emergency, I don't expect to be sitting in A&E waiting for the doctors to put a splint on my brothers finger

Next week will be better!

Yeah so do I... It's a great model  . But I've become something of a VC convert and that herc doesn't have one :(

It was a good night guys - a nice little intro for me into the world of multiplayer.

Nice screenshots too Nik. Wellington always puts it on with the weather :P

Kudos to all those controlling in the towers. Well done chaps.

See you all next Friday
