FSX wildlife

A forum specifically to discuss the latest and greatest of all flight simulators

When I first got FSX and looked on the back of the box, I thought it must be bloody farm sim, look at the box, see what I mean!

I have all the correct settings enabled, but in all my experiances with this fs I have not come across one bird, cow, sheep or buzy bee.

Just some birds would be nice. Youd think if the developers went to so much effort to make these animals they would make it so they are a bit more of a comman sight. Makes me think they can't be that great afterall... If they think they can litter the back of my box with elephants and the like, its a flight simulator, so if we have to have the african wildlife on the back of the box then we should at least be abel to see them in the sim.

Perhaps they are limited to missions? As is almost every other "new" feature of fsx..

Would love to see birds on final approach, dodge the old cow that gos across the grass strip. not that I really use fsx, but if I do I woudl like to see the new features that is the reason I got it in the first place :D

Thanks
James

Most of them ive seen in missions but its not hard to place them wherever

You will need the deluxe version, activate the object placer tool and add them. The objects start with 'Ani_' from memory (ani_birds_..... etc)

Then compile and add to addon scenery...easy as pie

hmm, why shoudl the end user have to do that when they advertise the sim as having these animals everywhere, I recall things such as "see whales as you fly around hawwii" iv spent a whole afternoon flying around hawwii once and never saw any wildlife...

I may have a play with that thingy one day, I am actuly planing to learn some scenery stuff.....
