Freeware Finland is a stunning area to play in. Mesh, very detailed landclass and some amazing airports all free from here:

i particularly recommend the Helsinki Malmi, Kittilä and Ivalo airports (both just...wow with no FPS dent to be found...honestly)

Bit of French northern coast for you. St Malo VFR and LFRD airport. Search on google it's easy to find. I believe it is the same man as behind the flytampa stuff...enough said.







again i think it's very difficult to capture this scenery in a screenshot. self installer, so give it a whirl.

Jesenicko availible on avsim. An area in the Czech Republic covered with all four seasons photo textures and landclass plus loads of custom objects - all the factories, wind farms, mountain huts, churches, football pitches...oh, and two very detailed airports.







like all 'exceptional' scenery; no fps loss.

I am subscribed to AVSim's daily newslaetter and everyday for the last 2 or 3 weeks(possible exaggeration, maybe too small) i have been getting under FSX Scenery: Photorealsitic Chile pack 1, Photorealsitic Chile pack 2, Photorealsitic Chile pack 3etc.
Does anyone have it? What are all the files for? If i was going to fly around Chile(probably not but depends) is the download worth is? Can you post some screenshots please?

I am asking because i want to know why this one guy(i think) has released numerous packages for the last few weeks. It gets REALLY ANNOYING

I agree with you, it's quite annoning - almost as annoining as these puzzles that keep poping there.

I suspect however that he was breaking his scenery to smaller chuncks. Feels like pixel by pixel. Before it was the scenery, then the patch..... Oh My....

I guess if you live in CHILE U'd think u'r the luckiest chap around ... There is an entire world out there , north past the Bombay Hills , maybe u should d/load and install , show us all CHILE

Just imagine if that were happening, but replace Chile with NZ. Would you feel differently about it?

Two new addtions,
cyam_2007.zip -An awesome regional airport on the Canadian/American border. Great detail, quality textures. It is in the same class as Just Flight's payware Shoreham in my opinion. This one is new on avsim yesterday, will post screenshots shortly!

ypjt2004.zip -photoreal ground and airport for Jandakot general aviation airport, Perth. Highly detailed again.

I just got FlyTampa St. Maarten, St. Barts and Saba package.

The scenery is incredable, compleatly knocked my socks off. The detail is so bloody realistic, I just can't belive it. Plus, it runs ultra smooth on my old laggy system which is just amazing. Expect to see billions of screenshots soon!

But severely disappointed they omitted St Barts and Saba from the FSX version. Those two are by far the more interesting airports (and there's only so many "airliner low over the beach" pics a guy can take!

This one probably deserves a mention - Simwings Heathrow 2008.



Although the stock FS9 airport is not at all bad, this one has a skilful blend of photoreal and 3D which makes for a great experience.





AES-equipment ready (as an extra) and more AI than you could hope to see anywhere





This scenery rates with my other two favourite major airports, Frankfurt and Boston.
It includes a glimpse of the future too: Terminal 5 as it will look in 2008.

I know Shigeo Ishii's Las Vegas scenery has been around for a long time, but he has been updating it every year or so (Vegas never stays the same for long) and has also done an FSX version recently. The original version is available at the usual places, but the updates (which have a lot of changes and new detail) seem to be only at his site: http://fs-x.world.coocan.jp/index.htm

The site is in Japanese, but its not too hard to navigate. The Vegas scenery is compatible with Raimondo Taburets "photorealistic Las Vegas"Â￾ package and Ron Ezra's Las Vegas Autogen. Shots below are with the Taburet/Ezra photoreal and autogen package installed together with the Ishii package.

Great idea for a thread. Where can I go to download "Simwings Heathrow 2008". Looking for this and any other good freeware European airports.

What I would love is something that is 737 friendly - basically fly around the world and see some of these awesome airports etc instead of always landing at the stock airports. I basically only know of avsim and flightsim so miss out on a lot of this scenery.

Anyone keen? Suggest basically freeware only.

Laurence ...A flight were each destination is a airport - another designers piece of work ..... I indeed have thought of this , plan , search scenery , open all to others works .. GOOD PLAN , aircraft with range and very flexible , and one which requires each location paint on its side as a goodwill flight !
I'd be in , guess good freeware aircraft with that quality- long range/short field/high-alt ops , Be a David Maltby VC-10Super C1 type , which will require a special paint for all to follow .

No reason why it has to be the same plane each time. I could rummage up a site, that would also list all the scenery we use - where to find it etc.

I think that everyone that did the flight should be required to email the designer as well, thanking them for their work, that way the designers also get something personal.

Might be a plan me thinks.

Next question where to start - what's the maximum range (remembering we'd want to visit a lot of places. I suggest either Wellington (capital of NZ) or Auckland. Remembering I would prefer that all scenery that is used - is freeware Not sure about landclass etc, but the base scenery should be that.

Ya could change plane type , .. but was thinking , its when u find a very inhospitable airport , ya want your fav and best handling under-ya ....... To let the designer no your incoming and to show post , SUPER IDEA ... sure many with their Scenery from all over the world would enjoy that
