Autogen Textures

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby ardypilot » Tue Dec 12, 2006 12:52 am

Hi guys,

I don't know if anyone could help me out with this, but I am not getting any answers from the VOZ forums. I asked this:
I love the VOZ autogen so much more than the default stuff.

Is it possible to keep it pernemently installed, without having the any region VOZ'ed in (like you can with VOZ water)

Any instructions would be greatly appreciated.

I was told to download 'Koorbygen Lite' but which replaced the default MS autogen in with the cool VOZ stuff, but only in Northern America, and I want it for the whole world, especially in New Zealand.
Thanks for the link Koorb, I downloaded the .bmps files and replaced them in my texture folder- yet they only change the office buildings in the US.

What I am really looking for is to get the compleate range of your autogen on display pernemently all around the world- especially NZ!

Is it possible to VOZ-in the VOZ textures, copy a few selected files, then UN-VOZ and paste the files in pernemently? If so, which files are these and where can I find them?

Know the solution anyone?

Cheers.

I have no experience whatsoever with VOZ, however I'd assume that you would need to find the equivalent VOZ texture file, rename it so it is the same as the filename of the file that you are replacing, and replace it.

Howdy Trolly,

Yep; to permantly keep VOZ Autogen building textures (very relevant to NZ) -- find the following .bmps: BLDG2, BLDG2LM, BLDG3 and BLDG3LM in your VOZ installation. Back up your default bldg2 & 3 .bmps and Light Maps (LM) found in Flight Simulator9/Texture and replace them with the VOZ ones.

Works a treat.

Can we get those textures somehow without having to download VOZ?

Also, check any of my screenshots from this year and you will see the VOZ autogen on the ground ;)

This file, koorbygen_lite.zip should do the trick!

Thanks for the heads-up Trolly, I was experimenting with a demo of MegaScenery South California, and dropped those textures in there.
Reasonably convincing I thought, and I suppose N American is spoken in NZ too B-)

Hmm, I personally dont want to have to download and install all of VOZ just for 4 textures, oh well..

Can see the Airshow has worn you out Jon - see above, it's a little download and just a few textures.
