Its a delight to announce that we will have a special guest attending Forum Field 2007, flying a display we had not announced previously.
I would like to introduce Brandon Seltz, who is a developer with ACES, the people who created FSX, who has accepted our invitation to do a special display in the Learjet during Forum Field.
I asked Brandon for a few words so I might introduce him:
"My name is Brandon Seltz and I am a designer at Aces. I sit with Paul Lange (Jon - Paul is the lead designer on FSX) and am currently building out the multi-player racing side of the upcoming X-Pack (Jon - This is Flight Simulator X: Adrenaline), which is proving to be a blast. I am a 3D artist by trade and entered the sim-world by modeling and mapping the F4U Corsair for Pacific Fighters. Soon after that I was hired on here building missions for FSX. Working at Aces is a dream come true. Hopefully we can keep this project compelling and selling long into the future, and I for one am sure we can. And thanks to people in the community such as yourselves, breaking new ground with the tools provided, we can take this thing as far as our imaginations will let us. Looking forward to the Airshow!"
Naturally Brandon's presense at the show will add to what is already going to be a great event, and I am assured by Paul that Brandon is 'a great stick', so we can expect some fancy flying from him (no pressure Brandon
)Given the time differences we are yet to confirm Brandons display time and are unsure how long he will be able to spend with us, but I'm sure everyone will join with me in welcoming him on the day, and making sure he feels part of the New Zealand Flightsim Forum family and most importantly has fun with us.
Zoltuger has agreed to do a special skin for the Learjet for Brandon, we will release this for download closer to the day.
I'll post additional details as they come to hand, and yes we will jiggle the program to accomodate Brandons display.
....................Having a developer from FSX join us on the day in any capacity, let alone fly a display is a great mile stone for the NZFF community. It shows that we are recognised by these guys...........a major achievement for our small little community when you consider the size of the FSX world out there.
