One of the highlights for me, the Helio Courier - soooo short landing roll!

So, that's me. The show was Awesome, I learned a bit about aviation and saw some new aircraft. Best bits were the Corsair display, the battle of britain, Tora Tora Tora, the Helio Courier, the Caribou (though the display was a bit short, and I didnt capture any photos), the Chippies and the WW1 scenarios (especially the Camel - that thing has the most awesome engine)

By the way, what the heck is a "Helio Courier" and did you happen to see any NZFF'ers there? I know Zac would have loved the Kittyhawk and Nanchang!

Also, what is the difference between a deHav Dragon, Dragonfly and Rapide? They all look the same to me...

Awesome! Those fokkers are great, neat to see they completed the red barron!

Trolly one of the differences between the Dragons and dragonfly's is the obvious size and nose shape, but also the dragonfly has the top wing sitting further back, unlike the dragons where the top and bottom are parallel.

The Helio Courier is a super-super-super STOL aeroplane - the landing roll is only a few metres with a good headwind. More info here I didn't catch up with any NZFFers this time, I decided instead to just enjoy the show and catch up with a few aero club dudes.

The announcers told us that the Dragonfly (the blue one) was the smaller, corporate version, and the Rapide and Dragonare larger airliner versions (the rapide is more powerful, apparently).

Great pics Monkey , Harvards , from thos view's u can see the hash up on the Historic Flights 15 compared to the privately owned 65 which is correct ! One particular person sent proper details and fonts , he was fumin after seeing the result !

You have no idea dude, two (or was it three? ) P-40s, and five Nanchangs? WOAH!

Great to see Guy Clapshaw's Percival Proctor/Vega Gull, what a truly gorgeous aeroplane. Has to be my fave, right up there with the P-40 and Yak-3. In fact, better.
