For FS2002 and FS2004

Introduction
In Flight Simulator there are many types of people:
• Slow and Low VFR flyers
• High and Fast IFR flyers
• And whirlybird flyers
I would say that I am an IFR flyer but I sometimes do a bit of VFR and Helicopter flying.
With IFR flyers there would also be two sorts:
• Vintage Jet and Propeller Aircraft
• Modern Jet and Propeller Aircraft
Again, I would have to say that prefer Modern Jets and Props but I still sometimes go back in time and try flying the old jets with their primitive autopilots and navigation equipment.
This is probably why the 727 by Captain Sim appealed to me.
This aircraft seemed good for a few reasons. It didn't require a hard-out top-end gaming computer and it worked on both FS2002 and FS2004. I have both but FS2004 does the crashing thing so I'm still using FS2002 (until I get a new computer "“ hopefully soon)
Virtual Cockpit
Wow! All I can say about the virtual cockpit is that is one of the best I've ever seen (even competing with aircraft from top end developers that sell for $50 U.S.). The texturing as been done with 110% effort and the textures are perfect. The shaping (e.g. the shapes of the chairs and the throttle levers etc.) is perfect except that the engine two reverse lever is missing from the throttle quadrant. Anyway, the reflections on the windows are so impressive I don't know how much better they could make it. But still they make it better still with the fact that they haven't slacked around with the textures around behind the pilots. This virtual cockpit should easily sway you to the purchase page at Captain Sim's website.
2D Panel
This panel is truly photorealistic. All the instruments are to scale which adds to the effect. With most systems modelled, this panel is great! With an easy panel switcher, you have to do the pilots work as well as the flight engineer's work. The angles and the fact that the panels are actually photos with gauges put cleverly on them ads to the realism. There are about 200 switches on the Second Officers Panel and About 110 in the Overhead and almost 100 on the main 2D panel. I wouldn't like to count. The manuals are helpful in the way that they number all the switches on a picture if the corresponding panel and explain what they are and what they do although the guide on how to start the engines could be a little more clear. The night lighting is impressive as well.

External Model
What can I say about this other than that "This is the best I've seen yet!"Â
Captain Sim claim that they've made the model from original Boeing drawings. I wouldn't like to doubt that. There is a wealth of animations (all the usual ones "“ animated control surfaces, flaps, spoilers etc) also included is the Main door the back air-stairs and the cargo door.
Captain Sim also has the streamlined shape just right.
The flaps are also nothing to laugh at with the fact that they are detailed and animated incredibly well.
The lights also look good. Not to bright or to dim. The landing gear is also animated and well presented.

Flight Performance
Well I'm not an expert on this but it performs well, is responsive, accelerates quite well but it's the landing that catches me out. I find you have to keep to the V speeds or the plane will literally fall out of the sky.
Extras
Included in the download is the TCE (Texture Configuration Editor) utility that enables you to add weight in the form of cargo, passengers, luggage and fuel. You can also change the engine types and change the registration and call sign of each livery.
There are also checklists and other sounds that are read out by your first officer, which is a nice touch

The sounds included are a blast. They sound real to me and don't let the aircraft down. It's a pity I can't show the sounds.
What I like
2D Panel, Virtual Cockpit
Sounds, Modelled Systems,
Liveries
What I don't Like
To be truly honest nothing really

for this
