Retirement would prove to be far too boring for me i always like to do something and I would prefer a job as it would keep me busy.

Paid Retirement beats a job any day but I would have to admit that giving up flying was the hardest job I ever had.

delays are okay, see chart below

How to judge day at work for ATC

delays = all aeroplanes still on gates on ground = GOOD
fog = all aeroplanes on ground , nothing moves = GOOD
bad wx = all small aeroplanes on ground = GOOD
bad wx = all IFR spread out and on instrument approaches = OKAY
Fine weather = all aircraft in air and want to go direct and number one = VERY VERY BAD.

If number of aircraft at end of day = number at start of day ,... = WIN.
if not, but can point at someone else = WIN.
if name not on report form = WIN.
if name not in papers = WIN.
if boss does NOT know your name = WIN.
if pay still going into bank = WIN.
if ANY of above not equal win = LOSE.

Whats that ?

It is a very strenuous life, it consists very much of this intricate timeline

10-11am = wakeup
11-12am = shower
12-1pm = eat
1pm - onwards = fly or in the sim at school
5-7pm = cook and eat dinner
7-later = do what ever i feel like...

That is ofcourse if I am not flying twice that day, or any other things that will put a spanner in my works, and somedays I may go to the gym.... others i may not...

What can I say, Im living the dream

shower could take 10min and then getting dressed might take 50min?

i had NCEA lvl 1 this year. I find it easy, even though I am doing all the top courses. I am actually looking forward to exam time because it means you finish school 4 weeks earlier than everyone else! Meh, thats just me I guess ;)
