here here, great aircraft, all for the huge price of $00.00 can't go wrong with that, now just the time to fly them all!!! ;)
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Draconian- use the autothottle feature on the panel, where you can select to keep either your IAS or Mach constant.

you also use prop feather like in the real world, to use reverse thrust you need to full feather the prop first.

I tried this plane out yesterday and not sure if this is right but I had to pull the throttle right back to 30% on my joystick throttle to stop the thing from going faster than 250 kts below 10,000 feet. Even at 60% power I was getting 360kts which now that Draconian mentioned it seems a bit fast.
Turbo prop with more power than a Jet? Is there a update to a cfg somewhere?
Its got the handling of a jet fighter <_< Not the kind of thing you want to hear but could easily do a review on Flightsim with those comments.
Help to remerdy most appreciated.

Bingo mate, check out wikipedia, and you will see that:
The Saab 2000 is one of the fastest turboprop airplanes in existence; it is able to cruise at a speed of over 665 km/h (360 kt).
And that,
Saab decided to build the 2000 in December, 1988 due to perceived demand for a high speed turboprop which could approach the speeds of jet aircraft while retaining the efficiency provided by turboprop engines. ;)

This machine has become one of my personal favourites. In order to assist in slowing down, and for ground handling, the far right levers need to be just above the cutoff position. This makes it a very flexible machine. Love to get my hands on the real thing.

I really think people need to research this plane (and in somecases research how turboprops are flown) as the amount of comments about how powerfull it is is starting to make me do my nut....

Guys we have had actual SAAB 2k pilots fly this thing and thoough the FDE isnt dead on its as dead on as MS FS9 will allow us to get, sorry but I dont make planes for playstation pilots I like an element of realism in them.

I agree with Dan, people should learn a bit about an a/c before they download/fly it. I find it very accurate to the RW (real world) aircraft and it's a delight to fly once you get to grips with it....
As with any 'fast' aircraft, you just have to keep ahead of it, plan your speeds and approaches just as a RW pilot would....
I love the SAAB2000, shes a sexy beast, would be nice to see it in Air NZ colours, or Air Rarotonga! (hint hint!) ;)

I like my planes with a bit of realism in them but since I am not a real pilot like the majority of Flight Sim users I am unable to tell the differance if a aircraft handles like the real thing within the confines of a $1000 PC.
A couple of thousand downlaods may occured but a couple of thoussand dont necessarily have this still on a PC anymore or may have downloaded it several times like myself.
I would have like to have been able to improve my flying of this aircraft with some understanding of its FS characteristics but your PM basically said what I need to know.

i too have never flown a real plane, flown in them but never behind the controls, the closest i have come to flying a real plane was at flight experience did a few hours there, but i personally think that you have to learn the a/c systems and procedures, may be tedious or you are not intrested, but for me it is part of the realisim, you need to know how to fly it properly. just my 2c woth,

There was a time when you could go on a flight simulation forum and ask a question on how to fly a aircraft and you would get a answer without being made to feel you do not know anything.

It's just how you ask that makes the difference.
It's really tough for a developer to hear his project is rubbish before there has been a bit of discussion around it!
And especially when the project is not rubbish, but one of the best freeware offerings in recent times.
Anyhow, the question has been answered in this forum, so everyone should be happy, yes? :)

Yes thanks I found my answer elsewhere the Autothrottle for some reason pulses the engines when I set it. So I will be adding another download to the tally incase it is a corrupted file originally downloaded.

I'm not quite sure how comments about how powerful it is can be construed as necessarily being adverse comment. Sure some folk should do a little research first but in the main most folk have no idea what to expect and the performance aspect does come as a surprise (a pleasant one in my case). There is a wide range of experience levels in this forum and one should bear this in mind when reading the posts.
