FSX MULTIPLAYER NOTAM: FRIDAY 6 APRIL

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby Zöltuger » Tue Apr 03, 2007 8:31 am

NOTE CHANGE OF DATE: NOW THIS FRIDAY

Hey everyone,
No options this week, but something a little different. It's the Coast-to-Coast Lahar Tour, where we'll fly from New Plymouth to Napier, via quick stops in Tauramanui, Taupo and Waiuru. The idea is that we all fly together in one big bunch, like a giant swarm of Cessnas. This will be a great event if you're only starting out in FSX multiplayer because you won't have to worry about ATC, and you can just follow the leader.
Have fun!

Server Password: taupo (case sensitive)

Server Date and Time - 7pm Friday 6 April 2007 (Good Friday)
Flight Type - 'Convoy'
Start Airport - NZNP (New Plymouth) - Spawn at gates
End Airport - NZNR (Napier), via NZTM (Tauramanui), NZAP (Taupo) and NZRU (Waiuru)
Aircraft Type - Default Cessna 172 only
Shared Cockpits - None scheduled (Feel free to add additional shaded cockpit aircraft, but it's more fun if everyone has their own Cessna)
Weather - Clear, light winds
ATC Roster - none, use traffic frequencies
Additional Details - Traffic & Chat Frequency will be 130.00

Sounds good- Have the new internet all hooked up so im keen.
Do you think the 172 might be a bit slow over that long a distance though??
Maybe the C208b Grand Caravan might be better/faster?

Do you have to be on at 7? Can you be later? Because i really want to join but probably can't due to soccer practice finishing at 7. If not i'll just try next week during holidays

Thursday

Default Cessna 172 only

Clear, light winds

ATC Roster - none, use traffic frequencies

hmm I can't make it untill about 2030 on thursday, I strongly suggest Friday for the next one. Not that keen on flying with no atc, in a 172, with no weather.. I'll still try and come along for this one, just for an hour or so..

not that I don't like you guys ideas but I would like to see some sort of polls deciding what happens on these nights. ;) just a thought..

might see ya on thursday.

Just start at one of the intermediate airports :)
The aircraft text stick out like proverbial dogs *whistle* so it shouldnt be too hard to find where we are and slew to catch up?

OK, nobody is forcing you to come along. This flight is modelled on the World Tour of NZ, which has been some of the best fun I've had online.

And note the change in date, Friday's more popular it seems.

Thats a shame Timmo, next time I hope.

This type of flying is my fave, the world tour days were awesome. Laid back, knowing where we were flying to but not really knowing how we were going to get there. Its always very relaxed, you get to shoot the sh@t with each other and generally have a great time. I think its the ideal introduction to FSX multiplayer, no pressure, no lingo (almost), just flying with your buds.

bummer, I'd come so everyone could have a laugh, but unfortunately (not), I'm going fishing tomorrow.

172's are good but B1900's are better
