Flying Competition

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby PILOT WARRIOR » Sun Mar 25, 2007 2:33 pm

Myself along with other pilots from Wanganui went to New Plymouth today for a comp to compete against Hawera and New Plymouth which involved spot landing and bombing (both Jnr and Snr levels). I did thr Jnr spot landing.

We all had a good day out, Results: 1st-New Plymouth, 2nd-Hawera, 3rd-Wanganui. Congrats to NP

Below are pics taken at New Plymouth and on our way home.

I saw ZBD when I was walking out to the plane I was going home on and just had to take a photo, it looks like a space shuttle. Hope your cross country flight goes well.

Yep that was someone inside it and no I did not see it fly. Also the plane has a prop at the back.

Nice photos, interesting to see the prop powered Bede, they're more commonly jets. Max. takeoff weight according to the CAA is 408kg!

The jet version is the BD5 Microjet, used in the film Octopussy.
