You funny bunnies with the Guppy and the like...
leads to the next obvious poll.
Not going to say what it is, but Zolt's Guppy is a strong candidate
AgTruk
An24 barely qualifies as an aircraft, let alone ugly.

Y'know you took the thought out of my mind, but I held back because the Trolly-bashing forum is meant to be the other one. :ph43r:
C'mon Andrew, let's hear your nomination for ugly aeroplane, mate! :D

Actually we should probably discard the modified aircraft, as it's virtually a given that you will end up with a sow's ear.
Even if you couldn't make up your mind about the Comet, BAE guarantees you will with the Nimrod

EDIT: One of the Russian helicopters maybe? Ooh how about the Kamov Werewolf?

And althought the Brits are well-represented in the MBA above, they've come up with some zingers.
How about the Pterodactyl which looks like a plane crash?

Skyvan is a pretty awful bit of kit.
How bout that Eagle 150, that thing has so many lift and aerodynamic devices to make it work properly the designers should have just accepted it was never mean't to fly...

The old axiom, if it looks right it'll fly right stands true in most cases, hmm, makes you wonder just how badly some of these machine fly!
Although the Agtruck was a top performer for its role.

But the F117 Stealth Fighter is completely fly-by-wire because its virtually impossible to fly by hand with conventional control methods due to its knife edge aerodynamics.

How about the Polish LWS6 ZUBR. I dont know what they were thinking designing this. The Beech 1900D has got to be there. The funny thing is that the C model looks quite good.

i would also put forward on the chopper front the Sikorsky Seahorse / Westland Wessex - they look similar, probably the source of interbreeding.

Dornier 228, Beriev Bartini (haha), DeHav Buffalo, PZL Wilga, Dash 8 (looks good from one angle only), c337, Trislander...

Im not sure what the Seahorse is, whats the designation? I usually go on the Army designations for choppers. I have to disagree here though, the Wessex is quite a good looking machine. If any helo is in this race is has to be one of those gigantic Russian beasties with the two rotors operating on pods on either side.

The Westland-Hill Pterodactyl is horrible! That definitly wins now I have seen a photo of it :o

Also, although the Lancaster bomber was a symbol of stength and success in RAF history, its pretty ugly as well. On the ground it looks the worst, the worlds biggest taildragger I belive...

BTW Hinch, IMO the Trislander isn't all that bad, it's just different ;)
