AFCAD for Auckland

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby johanfrc » Fri Mar 09, 2007 6:20 am

I don't have the RealNZ scenery, only the auckland_real_nz_airports.zip from avsim.

Does anyone know a good and realistic AFCAD for that scenery.

I had a look at Auckland yesterday, and saw, that almost every gate at the International Terminal was taken by ANZ planes. The only foreign aircraft I found was a Qantas B763.

Hehe.

I'll have a look in FS in a few moments to check out the afcad. I used the 3rd version of the file... Is that the newest you have?

Hehe. I'll just make a new question. It's still Auckland.

I've reinstalled the Auckland 2005 and removed the smooth.bgl file. Then I install the auckland_real_nz_airports.zip. I just copy the scenery files into the Auckland 2005 scenery folder and the texture files into the Aucklnad 2005 texture folder. I add theem to the scenery Library, and on top of th Auckland 2005 put the NZAA exclude-files that was included in the Auclklnad 2005 scenery.

If I'm right I shouldn't have any static aircrafts right?

I have A B727 DHL between the domestic terminal and the international terminal, 2 "unknown aircraft" ANZ Link (looks like Saab 340's) at the Domestic Terminal, 2 Fokker 50 (NZ Post) and a bundle of GA-planes. Plus the B747 LOTR in the hangar and 2 B737 placed in the hangar at the hager left of the B747 hangar.

This is static aircrafts, not AI (I know how my AI planes look like, and the static aircrafts are... well... eh... terrible looking.

Does anyone know what I can have made wrong.

BTW the AFCAD mentioned in the first post is working perfect.

Yea, even when you remove the static aircraft, there are still static aircraft around. Perhaps have a chat to the maker of the scenery? (Ravern Saweti, if my memory serves me). ;)

Lol, I always get that mixed up.

Let us know what he says, I would be interested if there was a way to remove them. ;)

LOL.

Okay. The readme in the file mentioned at the top topic, says that the files included would remove the static aircrafts. IIRC there was some staitc aircrafts at the intl. terminal right? Some B747's and B763's. Those are gone. But the rest of the airport is missing :S

And yes. The "unknown aircraft" can be anything between a Saab 340 and an Embraer or even a Beech 1900. I can't say. It looks like someone has mixed some models into a single model and then placed it.

Ok I spoke to Savern today, at the supermarket of all places! :P

He said he will try to get the original bgl files from the original designer (Shayne Butler?) and then it will be easy to fix. He will also get rid of those fences that are always in the way.

There is as far as I know going to be a payware Real NZ Auckland Airport sometime in the future...just dunno when. But in the meantime Ill get Savern to try and fix it. :)

In the pipeline is a Hamilton and Palmerston North freeware aswell.

Anyway hope this helps a bit...
