it could have been a disastrous folly by the U.S. Air Force to have to admit that their aircraft which cost $125+ million USD apiece were knocked out of the sky due to a few lines of computer code.

well i suppose they could just fly the other way around the world next time, and not cross the IDL?

I also saw a little video (if I find it again I will provide a link) of a pilot getting stuck inside his F-22 because the cockpit canopy wouldn't open - the airbase fire brigade had to hack the canopy off with hack saws - causing some expensive damage!
