Carenado C206 repaint?

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Jenks » Sun Mar 04, 2007 8:32 am

I just purchased the Carenado Cessna 206 and I've got to say I'm impressed. Great fun to fly and really nicely detailed.

The problem is I don't want to fly it around in American colours so I want to do a Kiwi repaint, or two, for it. Trouble is I can't decide which <_<

I know there are Sounds Air paint, and Wanaka Flightseeing ones already done. Maybe the Air Fiordland scheme?

So, I'm after any suggestions - something you think would look good, or a paint you have wanted for yourself?

What do people want to see :D

Know what? the far North is waay under-represented in FS.
What about Salt Air in Paihia, ZK-SAL?
You'd have to get pics from them as I don't think there are any internet postings.

Personally speaking, i would be happy with ANY New Zealand repaints for the Carenado C-206.
Same for their C-182 and P Cherokee and Dakota. :D

Jenks, I would abosulty love to see the Carenado 206 in the Mountain Air ZK-DOV colours- see here: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.s ... entry=true

Its a beaut, but may be fairly tricky to do for the sim (not sure if there is a paintkit available already).

Alsoo, you may be interested to know that there is a Carenado C206 in the colours of Wanaka Flight Seeing available at avsim under the name carenado_206_zk-mif_hpg.zip

Just checked Salt Air's website Charl and they only have C207s?

Nice colour scheme though... reckon they would look good as AI repaints :)

DOV would be awesome

I think it operates from Chateau aerodrome on Ruapehu?

OK, so I have nearly got the 'DOV repaint sorted and I find that Carenado have cut corners with the paintkit and used a 'flipped' texture for the fin and rudder

I thought this sort of thing didn't exist with good models?

Should I carry on and finish it, without the "Mountain Air" text on the fin? Or should I look for some other scheme? Let me know if you still want it...

Now I know why the Wanaka Flightseeing repaint was missing the logo

Oops yes sorry I overshot my sort list.
But yes, would be nice to have an AI pair!
And, for that matter, the 172 as well B)
