Bad luck for me

Ok, so today, we were playing with the frisbee. Ok, we were bored. So anyway, I threw it to my brother, and it went too high and ended up on the roof of the shed. Well, that was alright, cause since im fairly light, my brother just gave me a lift, and I was able to get onto the sheds roof. Thats where the trouble began... :(

You see, we have two clear plastic irons on the roof of the shed, to help let light into the shed. From the top, these irons look the same as every other one (A funny brownish grey). Now, these plastic irons are designed to be the stregth of a regular steel one, so I wasnt worried about it. However- since the shed is old, they had gone brittle in the sun, and when I stood on it, my foot, and half of me, went straight into the shed! :o

WOW! That was a close one! I said. So, I threw the frisbee down (without falling through the roof again), and walked to the edge of the roof to get down. I thought the muck-up for the day was done. Little did I know that there was a nail sticking out right where i can about to jump. So, I jumped off, and the leg of my pants got caught on this nail. I jumped. The nail caught. I kept going. I heard an awful ripping sound, and before I knew it I was on the ground, with my head coming down first. I got up, and walked away perfectly fine. Little realising two things:
1. My head had only missed smashing the concrete by 10 cm
2. My pants had a horrible rip in them about half a meter long. They were a write off.

I was shaken, but as we speak, I only have a slightly sore lower leg which broke my fall

those small margins make all the difference - my daughter was hit by a car on her way to school on thursday and now has a broken wrist ( her fault for running out ) but another half second could have been much worse - hope your leg gets better soon - better stick to flying singles for a few days , no assymetric! ;)

I was on my garage roof last night too, operating on those see-thru panels to pick peaches - glad I didn't share the same fate!

well, i can tell you a day at college with a sore leg doesnt do it much good. Especially when you have to hobble from one end of the school to the other, in the rain
