GNZLAP 5.0

The official Forum for the GNZLAP and Charl's other NZ AI addons

The GNZLAP is a special and unique NZ operation!

Browsing through the Release Notes topics, it's clear we need a tidy up containing all the patches and bits and pieces that have been picked up by users.
SO there is going to be a GNZLAP 5.0 with a bunch of new planes, plus all the fixes.

Firstly, many thanks for all the feedback!
Second, this is your last chance to air any gripes you may have about previous releases.
Lastly, we need to address the AFCAD issue.
There have been many criticisms of these over the past months, and these will be revamped in this release.
So we need your help!
The standard is a simple one:
the AFCAD should work correctly on RBE topo and 20m mesh, and allow for six GA parking spaces.
If you have made an AFCAD that you reckon would work, and you're willing to contribute, please PM me and we'll test it in a vanilla installation.

These forums made it all happen in the first place, so let's hear from you!

Oh no it's not!
And here's the proof:

Just kidding - actually the GNZLAP tries to be a snapshot of NZ GA taken in August 2006.
We've actually had to skip a couple of lovely paint jobs because of that restriction (too old, no longer registered, etc)
And if we could've made them all in August 2006, we would've!

Just wondering, is it too late to alter flightplans??

Reason I ask is because for example, the Massey Arrows (should be Warriors but no biggie) are spending almost all their time in NZPP and not in NZPM where they should be??

And also I dont see no floatplanes, what was the fix for that again?? :(

Thanks, And I look forward to phase 5!!

Could have a look, sure.
Floatplanes if I recall only fly around Taupo/Rotorua.

Thanks Charl

It's one of the instances where you have to have the correct lake levels for the AFCAD to work - this was set up for RBE topo.
If you don't have this, adjust the floatplane airport elevation to suit your lake levels.
For Taupo:
NZA1 S38* 41.40' E176* 3.44' 1171 Taupo Floatplanes
AFCAD is AF2_NZA1.bgl

Thought you'd be finished them by now!

The comment was just for Monkey's benefit, as he is of the opinion that this A/C now resides in Nelson. D'you want to add a NZNS leg for him?

Yes Please Please Please! Also when you add the aircraft to the TTools traffic file, you might want to put the cruise speed up a few knots? It's got a few extra horsepower I'm told...(just if you want to make it really detailed) :ph43r:
