I tried to check for duplicate afcad files with ScanAFD program which worked fine in earlier times. But now it comes up with a message that it can't find the Addon Scenery Directory in the Scenery.cfg file. How do i get out of jail?

in mine I have this entry...

[Area.038]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Layer=38
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Remote=

See if you have that, if not, renumber as required and paste it in, should fix that problem

Thanks Dreamweaver- i found that i had disabled "Australia" in the Scenery Library. The sea is correct but at the shorelines & at the float bases i see white squares/rectangles appear & dissolve continuously. I have enabled & disabled the central coast landclass file that comes with the program but without any change. Also as i motor away from rest in the floatplane when viewed from behind the wash is thrown up in the same white shapes as above.

What an intresting concept! :lol:

(sorry, couldn't resist)

Seriously though, I know people that have disabled great swathes of default scenery for "performance" reasons, and then come a cropper because all sorts of unexpected things (GPS for example) also stopped working. Same thing with taking out the default planes - you get problems with other planes and systems not initialising.

The white squares on the shoreline have gone. Sometimes reasons are hard to find..........All is quiet on the kiwi front. Amen >nzflag<
