Small FSX scenery needed

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby G-HEVN » Sun Feb 11, 2007 11:27 pm

Originally I was going to use one of Christian's nearby farmstrips from the topo scenery, but of course that's not available in FSX, and so right now I'm stuck without an end point in my Oxford2Oxford tour!

If anyone feels able to knock up a little something, I'd be extremely grateful. 600 metres of landable grass in a paddock would be fine; 500m at a pinch. A windsock would be a real bonus, but not essential. But as I say, it needs to work in FSX with the 19m mesh.

Here's a little map:

Actually my topo does work in FSX - just not very well without adjustments. However, the 3500 airstrips are easy to import. Simply create a new scenery folder and copy all rw*.bgl files into it. Then add the folder within FSX to your scenery. Bingo, all 3500 airstrips in FSX fully compatible without any problems :)

Cheers,
Christian

good luck... given the story I saw in the herald on my way back from LAX you'll want to make sure you get to the ferry terminal quite early :P

I'll test out Christian's suggestion later today, and assuming that works out, I'll stick with it, thanks Jon :)

(plus a few practise sessions won't go amiss to ensure I can (a) find it and (b ) land there on the day without making a complete arse of meself!)
