Back on the Water

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Well I dug in the spares box and put the old ferries back into FS9.
Of course RealNZ has changed the way the world looks, somewhat, so a little tweaking of the taxiways was in order

The scenery didn't grow horns, and FS didn't throw its toys out the cot, but the ships do look a little like Kangaroos as they see-saw their way out of the harbour.

It looks like they are grounded.
Might this be an effect of the revised coastline in RealNZWN?

Charl I don't think it is the water effects from NZWellington cause there is no prob with the float plane. will make a test afcad and see if it was a problem with the original afcad and fs9 .would ot lke to be on the fs9 crossing.wouldn't mke it to the straits

Charl I subed in the float plane and there was no problem with the shakes . Seems it is the Arahura model that is doing the rock and roll. will try it with another ship tonight and see if i get the same effect!! might ty the Zodiak Ihave downloaded today :ph43r:

Ah, yes, I remember from the first release that one of the ferries did this. Would be interesting to check the differences in their configurations.

not quite a ferry but there is no rock and roll with this boat so watson I deduct that it is the original ferry model that is the culprit here ! Now all we need is someone with ferry building experience to finish up the new ferry and bob's yer uncle!!
any takers?

Good one Tracy
Now where are we - 1 ferry or 2?
Where do the other tracks go, will they be affected by RealNZ Marlborough release?

sorry about the confusion in my haste forgot to add that to the email
nz01 and nz02 are the re-aligned ferry afcad's
n103 is the afcad for the wellington hospital helipad for the squrriel(don't remember whether I sent you the flightplans for that ???)Let me know
N110 is the afcad for ruakaka bay- wiakawa (boat)
n111 is the afcad for broughton Bay ,st omer bay and Temahia lodge - Havelock in the pelorus sound (boats).
Hope to do Outward bound (which I went to ) and Endevour inlet -Picton next .
Not sure whether it will work in real marlborough yet (have sent Robin a copy)
and as of late the asuka is the only ferry(cruise ship hat i can get to sucessfully cross the straits. still looking for an updated nzrail ferry.
Hope that clears things up .
