Maybe a little off-topic, but was there a flatten included with the Godzone release?
My buildings have appeared to levitate :o although the AFCAD looks OK and AI are on the ground.

There was no flatten, this was specifically for the old 150 metre mesh, and didn't need flattening.
I'll flatten it for the 20 metre mesh, however like all the old scenery designed for the 150 m, it was incorrectly placed. It won't ever look great.

I remember giving you a hard time when you released it ;)
It was because your scenery had a great ambience, warts and all, and I wanted it made perfect!
There's no place better for an Islander to do a lazy sweep looking for them whales...be great if the buildings could come back to earth sometime

Hi Charl.
This is what the buildings at NZKI look like in my Sim, and yes, i am using 20m mesh, and FS9. No floating buildings, all firmly rooted to the ground..........

Snowman I think you have some AFCAD tweaks there, I don't recall seeing aprons where you have them.
It's what I'd probably do too, and lift the airport to meet the buildings. I guess.
Funnily, I could've sworn this worked OK with the 20m mesh at some point.
Hmm

Hi Snowman

Wouldn't mind knowing how you got it like that - my buildings are floating like Charls. Mine was like yours until I changed the terrain vertex.

Cheers

Ok, someone might want to give this a go.
I've think that the flatten tool I use has trouble with fractions, so I've moved the elevation slightly.
There's a flatten file and an AFCAD included in the download. My AFCAD was in the Kaikoura\scenery folder, so some of you might have duplicates. Please check first -- you may need to delete the AF2_NZKI.bgl file from Kaikoura\scenery, and place the enclosed AFCAD file into Addon Scenery\scenery. This should fix any duplicate issues.
There are two files in the download. One is the flatten, which goes in:
Kaikoura\scenery
and is called PROJECT_LWM2.BGL.
The other is an adaptation of the GNZLAP AFCAD, and goes in:
Addon Scenery\scenery
plus it also goes in:
Scenery\World\scenery
Just drag and drop, or unzip and copy.

It's really funny to see this now, this is one of my earliest projects, and is quite embarrassing really.

I HAD the same problem as Charl and co, then following Toprob's instructions and using the download file he provided I can now say it has fixed my floating building problem.

All sorted.
I even tossed in Snowman's AFCAD with no ill effect!
And on my rig, didn't find it necessary to include a copy of the AFCAD in S/W/S
Robin, thanks for a splendid response beyond the call of duty.
Ain't the Forums great?

There ya go Charl,................ the reason for the modified AFCAD at NZKI.
I have this bad habit of wanting to fly all over the place in NZ in "old timers"
Got to have room to park the thing, and get off the ground again !!
Ohhhhh i just LOVE the sound of those Rolls Royce Dart Turboprops :)
