Oh did I forget where I'd live? In a 200ft tower overlooking NZAA with my 747-800 hangar at the bottom.

thats easy... a Spitfire... nothing more, nothing less... for me there is nothing like a V12 RR Merlin doing a low pass :plane:

It has been a dream of mine (since I was about 6 and was first interested in flying thx to some A4's buzzing Levin one day) to own and fly one... and I will do one and/or the other some day...

PS. They had Warbirds over Wanaka 2006 on the IFE on the AirNZ flight that i took to LHR >nzflag<

I think i replayed the part with the spitfire doing a low pass about 5 or 6 times... the last few being with my eyes closed just listening to the sound (Premium Economy get the ANR headsets now! so the sound is just awesome  )

Hmmmmmmm... I think I'd have:

i) a C206 just for VFR flying around the country
ii) a VIP Boeing 777-300ER for jet setting around the world
iii) a grunty DC-3 beast for the weekends :P

Ah, the wonderful Mozzie  Are there any still flying?

Don't know if any are still flying, but I remember there was a guy in my old street called Ken who used to fly Mozzies for the RAF, and he told me they were nicknamed "the flying coffin" as they were made out of wood or something- is this the same aircraft you are thinking of?
